The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer to help us create custom Drupal applications, modules, and websites for the federal, state, and local government agencies. This position will work closely with the project team and attend project team and background meetings as requested. The role focuses on designing and developing scalable back-end Drupal architectures, evaluating and customizing modules to meet project specifications, building custom API integrations and automated workflows, and ensuring all solutions comply with government security standards and accessibility requirements.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, development or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience delivering and maintaining production-level back-end software, in one or more of the following languages: PHP, JavaScript, and/or Python.
- Demonstrated expertise in back-end architecture, software design patterns, and engineering best practices, particularly focused on CMS platforms like Drupal, WordPress, or headless CMS solutions.
- Proficiency with modern back-end development technologies, frameworks, and practices.
- Strong knowledge of database design, implementation, and optimization.
- Excellent attention to detail for high-quality and highly secure software delivery.
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring engineers in an individual contributor role and helping to foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.
- Ability to obtain a Federal background check and receive Public Trust
