K2 Integrity is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Investigations and Disputes practice in the United States. This role is responsible for conducting complex research and analysis on individuals, companies, and other entities to support client engagements involving due diligence, investigations, disputes, and risk-related matters. The Senior Associate will gather, evaluate, and synthesize information from public records, proprietary databases, and human sources, transforming findings into clear, actionable intelligence. This position requires strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed investigative research on individuals, corporate entities, and issues from a wide range of open sources, including media reports; criminal, civil, and bankruptcy proceedings; regulatory filings; business registrations; and real property records.
  • Utilize online and subscription databases to collect relevant public records, such as property documents, SEC filings, legal pleadings, and other records. 
  • Identify and analyze specialized industry, regulatory, and governmental information resources.
  • Conduct research to identify potential human sources, witnesses, and experts, and perform phone and in-person interviews of those individuals, with guidance from senior personnel.
  • Manage and coordinate consultants conducting on-site research at public record repositories in remote locations.
  • Independently produce high-quality and detailed reports, and maintain accurate, detailed, and organized records of the work. 
  • Conduct verbal briefings for project managers and/or clients.
  • Handle multiple projects of a diverse nature concurrently. 
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; degrees in international affairs, political science, business, finance, accounting, or related fields preferred.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in consulting, investigations, intelligence, forensic accounting, audit, law, journalism, or a related field involving complex research and analysis.
  • Experience working with corporate, legal, government, or professional services clients preferred.
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in research and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with public records, investigative, financial, and online research tools and databases preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest in global business, financial markets, regulatory matters, and current events.
  • Willingness to travel as needed and maintain flexibility to support time-sensitive client engagements.
