This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.

The Senior Associate, Editorial Content develops and delivers thought leadership and educational content across formats for the firm’s Global Private Wealth business.

This role produces articles, thought leadership insights, videos, podcasts, event materials, email communications, and digital assets that articulate HarbourVest’s investment views and position the Global Private Wealth business as a leading private markets partner. Content supports brand visibility, fundraising, and executive positioning across private banks, wealth platforms, and advisory channels globally.

Working with senior leadership, investment teams, investor relations, and marketing partners, this role shapes ideas, builds narratives, and produces high‑quality content that distills complex market themes into clear, commercially relevant messaging.

What You Will Do

Thought Leadership Content

  • Write multi‑format content with investment teams, including articles, commentaries, executive perspectives, videos, podcasts, and event materials.

  • Lead thought leadership publication and create supporting assets for digital promotion (webpages, social posts, PDFs, summaries, videos).

  • Identify timely private markets themes and develop relevant content initiatives.

  • Build scalable programs elevating HarbourVest’s presence and senior voices in private wealth.

  • Track content performance using engagement analytics and sales feedback.

Private Markets Education
  • Help create and launch a new educational platform explaining private markets to wealth advisors and their clients.

  • Build a multimedia content library supporting advisors’ ability to communicate private market concepts.

  • Develop content architecture, support pilot programs, and evaluate results.

Executive & Platform Visibility
  • Partner with senior leaders to craft external perspectives and strengthen visibility.

  • Develop content reinforcing HarbourVest’s private wealth positioning and industry presence.

  • Maintain consistent messaging across formats, audiences, and regions.

Campaign & Event Integration
  • Develop and repurpose content for campaigns, webinars, and events with Client Marketing.

  • Adapt narratives for different formats, regions, and distribution channels.

  • Ensure alignment with fundraising priorities and commercial goals.

Content Workflow & Governance
  • Lead workflows across investment, sales, marketing, and legal/compliance stakeholders.

  • Establish content creation guidelines, including briefings, interviews, outlines, and feedback processes.

  • Ensure accuracy, technical integrity, and regulatory alignment.

  • Maintain editorial standards and oversee review and approval processes.

What You Bring
  • Experience creating content for private wealth audiences around the world.

  • Strong understanding of private markets, investment strategies, and portfolio concepts, with clear communication skills.

  • Background producing written, video, audio, email, social, and event‑related content.

  • Ability to conceptualize data and create supporting charts.

  • Experience developing executive‑level content and marketplace positioning.

  • Proven skill translating complex investment topics into clear, commercially relevant messaging.

  • Strong stakeholder‑management experience, including with sales, investment, and compliance partners.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high‑quality output in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Knowledge of responsible AI use in content creation.

  • Experience in regulated financial‑marketing environments strongly preferred.

Education Preferred
  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.), or equivalent experience

Experience
  • 7–10 years of experience in investment content, marketing communications, thought leadership, or related roles within asset management and/or alternatives firms.

Salary Range

$113,000.00 - $157,000.00

This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
