AI at SharkNinja
At SharkNinja, we're building an AI-native culture. We're not waiting for the future; we're creating it. Our people are expected to experiment boldly, adopt new tools, and continuously raise what's possible to create meaningful impact for our consumers. If you believe the best way to do your job hasn't been invented yet, you'll fit right in.
ABOUT CREATIVE LABS
Creative Labs is SharkNinja's in-house creative engine. We turn breakthrough innovation into unforgettable visual worlds, campaigns, and consumer moments. We move fast, we build bold, and we do not settle. We are now looking for the visual thinker who will help define how SharkNinja looks, feels, and lands with audiences around the world. Not just art direction. Impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is not a production role. The Sr. Art Director is a conceptual powerhouse who leads with ideas and executes with precision. You see campaigns as visual systems, not individual assets. You understand how a big idea should feel before a single frame is designed. You're driven by strong conceptual thinking grounded in strategy and cultural trends and insights.
You bring high-level visual thinking, strong copy collaboration instincts, and a deep understanding of what makes work culturally resonant. You direct shoots, push design trends, and never stop asking whether the work is as good as it could be. You are a whole-brain creative who thinks upstream and executes downstream without losing the thread.
WHAT YOU'LL DO• Lead the visual concepting and art direction of campaigns across social, digital, video, OOH, retail, and experiential. From the first rough idea to the final deliverable.• Develop campaign visual languages that are ownable, scalable, and built to travel across markets and touchpoints without losing their identity.• Collaborate closely with Copywriters and Creative Directors to build fully integrated campaign ideas where the visual and verbal thinking are inseparable.• Direct photo and video shoots: cast, mood board, storyboard, brief, and oversee production to ensure the creative vision survives contact with the real world.• Translate top-funnel campaign thinking into executions that ladder all the way down to retail, DTC, and social with creative integrity intact.• Stay ahead of design trends, visual culture, and emerging creative formats. Bring fresh references and push the team's visual vocabulary forward.• Contribute to the development of brand-level and product-level visual guidelines that define how SharkNinja shows up globally and locally.• Think holistically across categories. The best Art Directors here are not precious about their lane. They go wherever the work needs them.
WHAT YOU BRING• 6+ years of art direction experience at a creative agency, in-house team, or equivalent, with a portfolio that demonstrates both conceptual range and executional craft.• A genuine conceptor. You do not just make things look good. You build the idea from the ground up and carry it through execution.• Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma. You are fast, precise, and never let tools slow your thinking down.• Fluency with AI-powered creative generative AI tools such as Weavy and Claude and how to use them to accelerate visual execution and concepting, not replace it.• Strong typographic instincts and a sophisticated understanding of layout, color, and visual hierarchy across digital and physical formats.• Proven experience directing photo and video production, including working with photographers, directors, and production teams on set.• You give clear direction that makes work better, not just different.• Cross-category versatility. You can art direct a launch film, a retail endcap, a social campaign, and a product page and make all of them feel like they belong to the same world.• Cultural fluency and a strong point of view on what makes visual work feel relevant and current without feeling disposable.• Comfort working at speed without sacrificing craft. Creative Labs moves fast and the Sr. Art Director sets the pace, not just keeps it.
NICE TO HAVE• Experience with motion design or working closely with CGI and motion graphics artists to bring campaigns to life in dynamic formats.• Experience designing for global markets with an understanding of how visual systems adapt across local cultures without losing creative force.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
