What's the role?

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing gross margin and its components, particularly the cost of sales. This role involves preparing monthly Rx financial statements for each of the US Rx labs and providing variance analysis against budget and forecast. The role will report key performance indicators (KPIs) essential for managing the labs and assist Lab Managers in improving efficiency and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial insights effectively to drive operational improvements.

  • Management Reporting Coordination: Coordinate and prepare management reporting requirements in alignment with parameters established by Corporate, House, or Operations Finance.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis for the lab, supporting Operations Management and and team.
  • Cost Analysis: Develop reports to analyze cost per lens and other key variances to drive efficiencies and cost savings in the lab.
  • Financial Templates: Create, update, and compile financial templates (forecast, budget) necessary for uploading financial results into Essbase and MIS databases.
  • Operational Review: Contribute to the monthly operational review process and generate the standard monthly review/reporting package.
  • Financial Accountability: Assist operations leadership in understanding and being accountable for their monthly financial results.
  • Production KPIs: Rigorously measure and drive improvements in production KPIs (yield and efficiency) through the Rx variance report.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure ongoing maintenance and integration of systems (Rx Portal, ZBIS, Essbase) required for accurate standard monthly variance reporting.
  • Forecasting and Budgeting: Collaborate with Operations Leadership to prepare quarterly financial forecasts and the annual budget.
  • Ad Hoc Analyses: Prepare ad hoc analyses and provide additional financial support as required for lab management on a frequent basis.
  • Business Metrics Analysis: Conceptualize, identify, and analyze key business metrics, delivering clear and actionable recommendations to senior management.

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, operations finance, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting systems (i.e. Essbase, HFM)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SAP and other ERP and financial modeling tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
