Job Summary:
As an Agile Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in the development of innovative products and services to support CAI’s business processes and enhance offerings to CAI’s clients. You will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog for multiple products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the needs of CAI’s customers and stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of agile methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to balance customer demands with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:1. Product Vision and Strategy:
- Define and communicate the product vision, goals, and roadmap to the development team and stakeholders.
- Continuously align the product strategy with business objectives and customer needs.
2. Backlog Management:
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it is up-to-date and reflects the most valuable and actionable items.
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and other artifacts to guide development.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including customers, business owners, and development teams, to gather feedback and requirements.
- Act as a liaison between the development team and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication.
4. Release Planning and Management:
- Work with the Scrum Master and development team to plan and coordinate releases.
- Ensure that releases are delivered on time and within scope, meeting quality standards.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and obstacles to product delivery and work to mitigate them.
- Make informed decisions to ensure the project stays on track and delivers value.
6. Quality Assurance:
- Define and maintain product quality standards alongside dedicated QA staff and collaborate with the team to meet these standards.
- Participate in testing and validation of features to ensure they meet acceptance criteria.
7. Product Demos and Feedback:
- Conduct regular product demos and gather feedback from stakeholders.
- Use feedback to refine the product and its priorities.
8. Continuous Improvement:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, seeking ways to optimize processes and enhance product development.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, computer science, or equivalent).
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar agile certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile environment.
- Strong understanding of agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.- Ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using agile project management tools and software.
- Knowledge of the industry, market trends, and customer needs.
- Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
