Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes with over 100 years of experience and approximately 30 billion envelopes manufactured annually. We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. An emphasis on Account Management, Sales, or Customer Success (manufacturing, printing, or packaging preferred).

Position Summary

The Senior Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key customer accounts, and expanding market share within the envelope manufacturing industry. This role requires deep industry knowledge, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to develop tailored solutions for customers across commercial print, direct mail, packaging, and distribution sectors. The Senior Sales Account Manager serves as a strategic partner to clients while collaborating closely with internal production, estimating, and customer service teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and secure new business in assigned markets.
  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet revenue and margin goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Deliver effective sales presentations, proposals, and product demos.

Account Management

  • Manage and grow key accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as the main contact for inquiries, pricing, and project updates.
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers and procurement teams.
  • Track account performance, forecast sales, and identify upsell opportunities.

Product & Industry Expertise

  • Maintain strong knowledge of envelope manufacturing processes and capabilities.
  • Guide customers on product options and cost‑effective solutions.
  • Partner with production and estimating to ensure accurate pricing and feasibility.

Internal Collaboration

  • Coordinate with customer service, scheduling, and production to ensure timely delivery.
  • Communicate customer expectations clearly and resolve issues proactively.
  • Provide market insights and support continuous improvement efforts.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate CRM records of sales activities and opportunities.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and contract terms.

Other (Non-Essential) Functions

Includes functions which are normally performed by persons holding this title. However, these functions may be reassigned to other employees as part of a "Reasonable Accommodation" under the ADA.

  • Assist with coverage of additional accounts for vacations, leaves of absence, etc.
  • Complies with safety rules and regulations (wear proper safety attire required by office personnel)

Job Requirements

  • Associate degree is preferred; however, candidates with sufficient relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • 5--8+ years of sales experience, preferably in envelope manufacturing, printing, packaging, or related industries.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of envelope formats, converting processes, printing methods, and material specifications.
  • Experience managing large or strategic accounts.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

  • Environment is typically general office
  • Incumbent may spend short periods in the manufacturing environment with exposure including, but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels and variations in temperature.
  • Occasional exposure to one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions of the time.
