Senior Scrum Master of Agile Delivery Manager

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of Scrum Master or agile facilitation experience with a delivery team.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.

• Demonstrated ability to coach teams on Scrum principles and agile values.

• Experience independently facilitating retrospectives, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and daily standups.

• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or equivalent agile tools.

• Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills.

• Ability to independently support one to two teams of moderate complexity through full sprint cycles.

• Ability to influence team behavior and culture without positional authority.

Additional skills:

• CSP-SM, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or PSM II certification preferred.

• Experience working on customer-facing SaaS or platform delivery teams preferred.

• Familiarity with retail technology, POS systems, or loyalty platforms preferred.

• Background in agile coaching, lean practices, or continuous delivery preferred.

• Experience managing cross-team dependencies and collaborating with Product Delivery Leads (PDLs), Delivery Managers (DMs), and delivery partners.

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

Agile Ceremony Ownership & Facilitation

• Independently own and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Design and evolve ceremony formats to match team maturity and context.

• Ensure ceremonies are productive, time-boxed, inclusive, and outcome-oriented.

• Drive retrospective action items to completion and measure improvement over time.

Impediment Removal

• Proactively identify, log, and drive impediments to resolution, including impediments owned outside the team.

• Escalate blockers appropriately and urgently when resolution requires organizational support.

• Create the conditions for the team to maintain focus and a sustainable delivery pace.

• Manage dependencies across the internal team and delivery partners.

Agile Coaching & Team Development

• Coach the team on Scrum values, principles, and practices, tailoring the approach to team maturity and context.

• Foster a team culture of psychological safety, transparency, and continuous improvement.

• Help the team internalize agile values rather than simply follow agile processes.

• Support PDLs and DMs in applying agile practices effectively within the team context.

• Provide informal coaching to Associate Scrum Masters when opportunities arise and contribute improvement ideas across the Scrum Master team.

Team Health, Metrics & Transparency

• Own team-level agile health metrics, including velocity, sprint goal achievement, cycle time, and predictability.

• Create transparency through well-maintained team boards, sprint reports, and delivery dashboards.

• Proactively surface delivery risks and team health concerns to leadership.

• Drive data-informed retrospectives and sprint-over-sprint improvement.

Stakeholder Communication & Cross-Team Collaboration

• Communicate team progress, delivery health, and impediments clearly to Delivery Managers and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with PDLs on backlog readiness, refinement quality, and sprint readiness.

• Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and Delivery Managers on cross-team dependencies and delivery flow.

PAR Values Alignment

• Act with Urgency by removing impediments quickly and creating urgency without creating anxiety.

• Own It by taking responsibility for the full ceremony lifecycle and team health without prompting.

• Deliver Outcomes by keeping the team focused on sprint goals and business outcomes, not only task completion.

• Win Together by creating the psychological safety and team chemistry needed for collective high performance.

• Never Settle by driving continuous improvement in every retrospective and not accepting “good enough” as the ceiling.

Success Measures

• Teams consistently meet sprint goals with high predictability.

• Retrospective improvement actions are implemented and measurably improve delivery.

• Impediments are resolved quickly with minimal disruption to team focus.

• Team health metrics trend positively sprint over sprint.

• PDLs and DMs report high confidence in the team’s delivery rhythm and communication.

• The team demonstrates agile values and continuous improvement behaviors independently.

AI Integration (FY2026 Requirement — All Roles):

• Leverage AI tools to identify delivery risks and trends, summarize sprint and retrospective insights, improve reporting efficiency, and support data-informed continuous improvement while ensuring appropriate human review and judgment.

Interview Process:

  • Interview #1: Video Screen with Talent Acquisition Team

  • Interview #2: Video interview with the Hiring Manager (via MS Teams)

  • Interview #3: Technical Video interview with the Team (via MS Teams)

  • Interview #4: Final interview with VP (via MS Teams)
