The Scientific Consultant is responsible for ensuring our customers maximize the value of our leading software solution throughout its adoption lifecycle. This involves a mix of scientific, technical, and account management responsibilities while serving as a subject matter expert, educator, collaborator, and trusted partner. In this role, you will help shape how major biopharmaceutical organizations track, manage, and leverage their end-to-end biotherapeutic workflow data using the industry standard platform, Genedata Biologics
This position reports to the Head of US Scientific Consultancy and is part of the Biologics Business Unit located in the United States.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Become a subject matter expert in Genedata Biologics and the analysis of biotherapeutic workflows
  • Provide end-to-end customer support, from pre-sales engagements through deployment, implementation, optimization, and production usage
  • Plan and lead a variety of projects, including scientific consulting, custom implementations, system integrations, and data analysis initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with sales team colleagues to clearly communicate the value and impact of Genedata products to prospective and existing customers
  • Apply your scientific and technical insights to contribute to strategic initiatives in science, marketing, development, and product management functions
The essential requirements of the job include: 
  • Over 2 years’ experience from industry or academia within a drug discovery or drug development setting
  • A postgraduate degree (PhD is preferred) in molecular biology, structural biology, bioinformatics, biochemistry, or related discipline in large molecule research
  • Ability to anticipate requirements and provide effective, timely solutions while maintaining a strong customer focus mindset
  • Effective communication skills combined with the ability to work confidently across a range of functions—from IT to scientific stakeholders—at all levels of seniority
  • Proven success in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and in cross-functional team environments
Travel, motor vehicle record & physical/environment requirements:
  • Ability to travel for up to 20% of your time, including overnight stays and international destinations
It would be a plus if you also possess:
  • Experience working with Biopharma Informatics Research or Information Technology teams
  • Experience with capturing and documenting scientific user requirements across Biopharma R&D
  • Experience with project tracking software, such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with scripting languages, unix systems and basic familiarity with Amazon hosting services
  • Experience using Genedata Products (Biologics, Expressionist, Screener, Selector, Chromatics, etc.)

The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
