Salesforce Enablement & Training Consultant (Contract)
Location: Remote (United States & United Kingdom - available for EST working hours)
As an Enablement Consultant at Thunder, you will play a critical role in driving successful user adoption following the implementation of new Salesforce solutions. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, customized training programs — from end-user enablement to Train-the-Trainer models — to help our clients confidently leverage new tools and processes. This contractor role is embedded within Thunder’s Enablement & Training workstream, where the Enablement Consultant will own and execute the change management and training strategy for a large, multi-cloud Salesforce transformation — working hand-in-hand with Thunder’s delivery team and customer stakeholders across every phase of the project.
Your work will begin with a deep understanding of the impacted user groups, including their current tools, processes, and pain points. From there, you'll assess the future-state changes introduced by the new Salesforce solution, clearly articulating the benefits and rationale for these changes. Based on this insight, you'll develop and execute a customized enablement and change management strategy designed to guide users smoothly through the transition. The ideal candidate brings a human-centered approach to change management, executive-level facilitation skills, and hands-on experience creating and delivering enablement programs for complex enterprise Salesforce implementations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver end-user training programs specifically tailored for customers following the implementation of Salesforce, AWS, or other related systems
- Facilitate virtual and/or live training sessions and readiness activities, providing hands-on coaching and support during and after training sessions
- Conduct needs analysis for each client to customize training content to their specific use-case and user profile
- Develop engaging training materials, including user guides, tip sheets and quick reference guides, tutorials, and video content, to support the learning process
- Lead Organizational Change Management (OCM) efforts, including stakeholder alignment, Impact Analysis, readiness assessments, and change agent enablement
- Maintain clear communication and collaboration with internal Thunder teams and client business leads throughout the lifecycle of training development
- Evaluate training effectiveness through weekly touchpoints and feedback survey data; iterate and adapt approaches accordingly
- Develop and maintain a repository of training resources and documentation for ongoing client support
- Maintain a deep understanding of Salesforce and AWS capabilities, features, and best practices, incorporating the latest into training modules
Qualifications:
- 5–7+ years of experience leading change management, enablement, or training workstreams within the Salesforce Partner ecosystem
- Deep familiarity with Salesforce multi-cloud implementations; experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, ARM/Revenue Cloud, Data 360, and/or Marketing Cloud strongly preferred
- Experience training on Agentforce or other AI platforms (highly desirable)
- Experience with video editing tools, virtual meeting platforms, and curriculum development tools (preferably Google Suite, Camtasia, Articulate, Audiate, Canva, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and Mural).
- Strong executive facilitation skills — comfortable leading workshops and interviews with C-suite and senior stakeholders
- Experience with impact analysis, persona development, and activation and communication planning
- Proven ability to create and deliver engaging training materials: eLearning modules, Leaders Notes, QRGs, Tipsheets, Playbooks, and Train the Trainer programs
- Strong storyboarding and content creation skills; experience with elearning authoring tools a plus
- Prosci / ADKAR certification strongly preferred
- History of leading dynamic, digital-first enablement experiences using collaboration tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing, team-oriented delivery environment
- Relevant Salesforce or AWS certifications preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
**Please note: This role is currently structured as a contract opportunity and not a full-time employee position. As such, it does not include Thunder’s full-time benefits (such as health coverage, PTO, or retirement plans). You’ll be engaged as an independent contractor and responsible for managing your own taxes, insurance, and availability. We’re excited about the potential to grow this into a permanent role and expect to evaluate that possibility. In the meantime, we ask that any other commitments don’t impact your ability to fully support this position. We encourage you to bring any questions about the contractor terms to your Talent Screen — and we're always happy to explore longer-term opportunities for great team members!
