Sales Engineer

If you possess the skills and the desire to be part of a team dedicated to industry leadership, we’d like to hear from you. We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Sales team. This individual must be highly motivated, goal-oriented, and responsible for providing pre-sales support to the sales team. The candidate for this position should have a deep knowledge of the hospitality industry and possess a strong technical background with experience in selling and/or supporting SaaS product, services, and solutions. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
*This position offers 100% remote flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Become proficient in understanding the capabilities and practical applications of the entire CrunchTime product suite
- Develop and deliver compelling, high energy software product demonstrations for domestic and international prospects
- Present the CrunchTime platform to prospective customers in-person, virtually via Teams, and at external events such as trade shows, conferences, and seminars
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFI’s/RFP’s
- Be an active listener who can effectively align customer pain points and functionality requirements within CrunchTime’s solution
- Assist sales team in identifying technical and business differentiators in sales opportunities
- Develop and share a point of view on CrunchTime’s product differentiators and product gaps
- Understand and be a resource for all existing customer base success drivers
- Monitor industry and technology trends
- Travel commitment of up to 25%
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4-6+ years of SaaS experience (preferably in the hospitality industry) as a sales engineer, account manager, solution architect or in a technical support role; strong preference for candidates with at least 1 year of pre-sales experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be dynamic and energetic in presenting complex ideas to prospective clients from VP to C-level and business or technical audiences
- Outgoing personality that builds strong relationships with stakeholders quickly
- Demonstrated understanding of the key food, labor and financial processes within the hospitality industry
- Possess deep understanding of key technologies underpinning modern B2B SaaS solutions
- Ability to explain products and value propositions to a wide range of audiences (executive, technical, etc.)
- Skilled at translating product features into value propositions and customer outcomes
- Ability to both see and convey the “big picture" while also being able to drill-down into the nuances of complex requirements
- Energetic, persuasive and compelling presentation style
- Professional written communication and capacity to respond to RFIs/RFPS and requirements documents
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Must excel at working in a team selling environment
- Nice to have: restaurant management experience and/or extensive knowledge of the restaurant/hospitality industry
