Job Description
The Director, SLED will manage a team of software sales representatives to prospect, grow and maintain the State, Local, & Education (SLED) vertical. Responsible for hiring a sales team and developing a sustainable product sales pipeline to meet forecasted revenue targets. Territory planning and reporting: completion of quarterly territory plan, timely and complete weekly sales reporting (both written and verbal reviews).
Qualifications
What we expect of you:
- Several years of success managing a team of enterprise account executive in the technology market, specifically in the SLED vertical.
- Familiarity with SLED contracts and reseller ecosystem to ensure efficient sales cycles.
- Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology
- Sales Skills: account mapping and prospecting, qualification, verbal presentation. Demonstrated ability of closing new business opportunities, building long term account management, renewal sales and consultative selling.
- Experience negotiating and closing complex deals
- History of attaining revenue and performance goals
- Application Performance Monitoring experience a plus
- Excellent and persuasive oral and written communication skills required
- Superior leadership skills and ability to attract talent, coach and mentor a team of high performing Enterprise Account Executives
- Builder of key relationships internally and innate ability to develop business champions
- Desired location is Eastern US

Primary Roles & Responsibilities
- Development of new sales within the State, Local, & Education (SLED) vertical: development of qualified customers, consistent growth of sales funnel, complete customer proposals, conduct onsite customer presentations, negotiate contracts within established price and terms guidelines
- Develop proficiency of products and solutions offered by Dynatrace and articulation of business value
- Actively recruit, hire, onboard and inspire top talent
- Coach and mentor team on sales strategies, negotiation and managing complex challenging sales cycles
- Build excellent executive relationships with key accounts in your region Support team in completion of organization mapping, buying influences, identification of key customer and buyer priorities
- Maintain accurate forecasting through weekly forecast meetings as well as monitor performance of team and determine effectiveness of sales strategy
- Deliver revenue targets - ensuring company revenue goals, and objectives are achieved
- Strategically partner with Marketing, Sales Engineers, Product Development, Customer Support, other functional teams to determine the best approach to promoting Dynatrace Products and Services
