We, at Flywire, are looking for a strategic leader to build and lead a Sales Operations function. Reporting to the EVP of Global Sales, this position is responsible for providing thought leadership and guidance towards the achievement of sales and operational objectives. This position will play a key role in the evolution and scaling of our Sales organization and drive ongoing process optimization with continued growth in mind. Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of sales support personnel tasked with driving the achievement of global revenue targets and business objectives
  • Develop systems and process in regard to contract/compliance issues, requests for information/proposal, planning and monitoring forecasts vs. budget, and partnering with marketing to develop selling materials
  • Establish and implement sales strategy best practices to support sales processes that drive predictable outcomes
  • Identify opportunities, and execute plans, for sales process improvement
  • Identify key trends that could impact our way of doing business, and develop an action plan to address
  • Provide strategic planning input through leadership of budgeting, planning and forecasting processes
  • Track key performance metrics as well as develop KPIs and sales reports to provide better clarity into sales trends
  • Collaborate with Sales and Client Services teams to identify sales support opportunities and needs to develop strategies to support client retention, revenue, and strategic objectives
  • Lead efforts in coordinating consistent responses for RFI/RFPs, contract management and sales training
  • Evolve and manage and effective Salesforce.com strategy for the sales team
  • Develop comprehensive reporting tools relative to forecasting and actual results of pipeline, lead generation, revenue, account development, and client growth/retention

Our ideal candidate is/has:

  • 10+ years’ experience in a leadership role in sales operations, business management, and/or business planning in a business-to-business sales environment, cloud-based/SaaS preferred
  • BS degree required; MBA preferred
  • Quick, curious learner with an advanced level of analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights using modern analytical tools, Excel spreadsheets, and/or PowerPoint
  • Results-oriented and demonstrated experience of developing initiatives that impacts productivity
  • Ability to identify root causes of problems & evaluate and prioritize creative resolutions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to establish credibility and build relationships cross functionally
  • Strong financial acumen, including understanding of revenue reconciliation
  • Proficiency in the use of technology and sales automation tools leveraged by the sales organization to manage the business (CRM tools like SFDC)
  • Demonstrated ability to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
