About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Overview of the Role:

The Sales Performance Management (SPM) suite includes Salesforce Maps, Territory Planning, and Sales Programs. The SPM Public Sector Account Executive sells this suite exclusively to Public Sector organizations across Federal Government, State & Local Government, and Higher Education. The role builds and runs a scalable sales strategy that grows the business by expanding within the existing Public Sector customer base.

In government and education, performance means mission outcomes. Agencies and institutions rely on field teams to reach the right people and places efficiently. These teams include recruiters, inspectors, caseworkers, public works crews, and advancement and enrollment staff. You will show how SPM helps them:

  • Design balanced territories around mission priorities.
  • Optimize routes and schedules.
  • Map their data inside Salesforce.
  • Act on that data from mobile devices in the field.
  • Give leadership real-time visibility into coverage and results.

You will position SPM as part of a single-platform modernization strategy. It sits alongside Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud, and it offers fast time to value and low cost to implement.

This is an opportunity to be a Trailblazer in the Emerging Business Organization. You will build your career in a large, fast-growing addressable market, in a fast-paced, collaborative, and fun environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and exceed a quota for SPM products across your assigned Public Sector territory.
  • Partner closely with Core Account Executives, Solution Engineers, industry teams, and the systems integrator and partner ecosystem to find, qualify, and close opportunities.
  • Lead discovery and executive conversations with agency leaders, program directors, technology executives, and university leadership. Connect SPM capabilities to their mission goals.
  • Run a repeatable create-and-close motion. Use pilots and proofs of value to land initial deployments and grow them into enterprise-wide rollouts.
  • Work through public sector buying processes, including fiscal-year budget cycles, contract and cooperative purchasing vehicles, and security and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline and an accurate forecast.
  • Advise customers on the SPM suite and champion solutions that help them reach their goals.
  • Blaze new trails within customer organizations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years quota-carrying enterprise software sales experience, with a proven record of exceeding targets.
  • Experience selling to Federal, State & Local Government, and/or Higher Education customers.
  • Working knowledge of public sector procurement, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Ability to turn technical capabilities, such as territory design, route optimization, mapping, and mobile field execution, into clear operational value.
  • Comfort running complex sales cycles with many stakeholders.
  • Experience co-selling with core account teams and partners.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce, CRM, field operations, mapping, or sales performance management solutions.
  • An existing network within Public Sector agencies, institutions, or partner ecosystems.
