What We Do

Roo (www.roo.vet) has created the first B2B labor marketplace in animal healthcare that connects veterinary professionals with hospitals through innovative technology, with opportunities to expand and offer more opportunities for both our demand & supply of users.

Our dynamic platform enables hospitals to fulfill personnel needs in real time, while allowing high-quality veterinary professionals to secure work at the click of a button.  Beyond the platform, Roo represents a growing opportunity to help hospitals meet all-things staffing, and a growing community of resilient vet industry professionals who value flexibility and work-life balance, in addition to providing the best possible outcomes for clients and their pets.

Our aim is to combine experienced healthcare expertise with Silicon Valley talent to shake up this industry and change the way veterinarians and hospitals work!

About the Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Operations Coordinator to support the daily operational efficiency of our go to market team. This role plays a critical function in ensuring smooth workflows, clean data, and scalable systems—especially within our HubSpot CRM environment.

In addition to optimizing sales operations on the demand side, this role will play a key part in streamlining operational processes on the supply side of our business—supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of veterinarians and veterinary technicians. You’ll help ensure that our supply-side teams have the tools, insights, and infrastructure needed to scale efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator of HubSpot CRM, supporting both sales and supply-side teams with pipeline management, workflows, and automation.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track performance and ensure data accuracy across the CRM.
  • Collaborate with supply-side stakeholders to streamline onboarding, credentialing, and engagement workflows for veterinarians and vet technicians.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency across both sides of the marketplace.
  • Maintain CRM data hygiene, working to improve completeness, consistency, and reliability of partner records (clinics, practitioners, etc.).
  • Support cross-functional initiatives involving marketing, growth, customer success, and finance to optimize lead nurturing, supply enablement, and partner satisfaction.
  • Assist in training team members on HubSpot usage, process adherence, and tool best practices.
  • Provide operational support for strategic initiatives, such as supply expansion or retention programs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, or Marketplace Operations role.
  • Hands-on experience using HubSpot CRM (certifications a plus).
  • Proven experience improving or automating operational workflows, ideally in a two-sided marketplace or healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, and comfort working with CRM data and performance metrics.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented, data-driven approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and finance teams.

While we are a remote first company, if you are based in San Francisco this will be a hybrid role.  Please see below for examples of compensation ranges based on state averages.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
