About the Role

Ethos is looking for an experienced, high-energy Sales Manager to join our growing Consumer Sales organization. This individual will lead and develop a team of licensed Life Insurance Agents in a fully remote environment, with team size ranging from approximately 5–15 Agents based on hiring and business needs.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record of building and leading top-performing sales teams, exceeding quota, and developing sales talent. This leader will play a critical role in helping new Agents successfully ramp into production while creating a high-performance, positive, and growth-oriented sales culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead a fully remote team of 5–15 licensed Life Insurance Agents, ensuring the team consistently hits and exceeds monthly sales targets
  • Coach, train, and mentor Agents to achieve and exceed individual sales goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Take an active role in onboarding, training, and nesting new Agents, helping them build the skills, confidence, and consistency needed to succeed before transitioning fully into their permanent sales teams
  • Partner closely with Consumer Sales Managers to support new Agents during their ramp period, including coaching alongside them, reviewing performance, and ensuring they meet established expectations before graduating from nesting
  • Stay close to the sales floor (remotely) and be willing to hit the phones alongside Agents, providing hands-on coaching and real-time feedback when needed
  • Help Agents hit key performance marks early in their tenure, creating a strong foundation for long-term productivity, retention, and success
  • Lead teams effectively through change in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
  • Build and develop a sales culture centered around high performance, accountability, positivity, and continuous improvement
  • Set ambitious goals and create the focus, structure, and motivation necessary for the team to achieve them
  • Maintain a strong focus on employee satisfaction, engagement, and development while holding the team accountable to performance expectations

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of B2C inside sales leadership experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the telesales insurance industry, including experience in a management or leadership role
  • Demonstrated success leading sales teams to consistently meet and exceed individual and team sales goals
  • Strong coaching and talent-development skills, with experience onboarding, ramping, and developing new sales representatives
  • Ability to establish clear performance expectations, minimum thresholds, and measurable goals for developing sales talent
  • Comfortable providing hands-on coaching and working directly alongside Agents to improve sales performance
  • Strong analytical and data-driven management skills with the ability to identify performance trends and turn insights into action
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM software, preferably Salesforce

The US national base salary range for this full-time position is $83,000 - $147,000 Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
