Map Labs is looking for a Sales Director who is passionate about making businesses successful.
Map Labs enables local businesses to unlock revenue from Google Maps. We built a platform so local businesses can deliver great customer experience and profitably acquire new customers through Google Business Profiles. We sell our platform as software-as-a-service and provide strategic marketing advice on maps based on our experience, industry knowledge, and insights. We’re a customer-funded startup. We’re growing and need your help.
You will drive revenue growth and eventually build a team. You’ve been working in a sales role for several years. You're known for making a market out of nothing, thanks to your hard work, smarts, and chutzpah. You’re a player/coach who knows that sales is a discipline and wants to build something repeatable and scalable.
Our staff work around the world. This contract role is based remotely.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Understand our product, plans, and customers.
- Build a strong pipeline of prospective clients through outreach.
- Drive, manage and track client outreach.
- Strategize innovative ways to reach new customers.
- Develop our sales playbooks, processes, content, and tools.
- Deliver presentations and demos that solve prospects' problems.
- Provide insightful responses and solutions to customers that help them meet their business goals using Map Labs.
- Share external market insights and feedback from prospects and customers to drive improvements and product/feature requests.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of sales experience, ideally in marketing technology, selling to clients and leading SaaS GTM.
- A proven record of meeting your targets.
- An ability to independently generate and manage pipelines across multiple verticals.
- An ability to build professional, trusting relationships.
- An ability to simultaneously manage a high volume of opportunities and transactions.
- An ability to articulate product features in an easy-to-understand language to inspire sales.
- An ability to present confidently and think on your feet to exceed customer expectations.
- A willingness to prospect, assess customer challenges, find solutions and read prospective buyers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (phone, video, email).
- A commitment to consistently achieving results.
- A desire to proactively help internal/external customers with their needs.
- A way to obtain commitment to a solution or idea while maintaining your integrity and relationships.
- An organized and logical approach to finding solutions to complex problems.
- An ability to cope with change and ambiguity while finding ways to advance your work and projects.
- A commitment to continuously improve all of the above.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Marketing, Business, or other related fields.
- Experience working with Google Business Profiles.
- Experience working with Google Ads.
- Experience using and configuring HubSpot CRM.
