Description

Port is the Agentic SDLC Platform. The way engineering teams build software is constantly evolving, and every new wave - such as AI agents operating across the SDLC - makes engineering more powerful, but also more complex and chaotic.

Port turns that chaos into control: one platform to build, govern, and operate the software development lifecycle, enabling every team to move as fast as technology allows.

Following our $100M Series C funding round, we are entering an exciting stage of significant growth and global expansion. As a product-led company, we believe the recipe for success is a world-class product that speaks for itself.

About your day-to-day:

As an SDR at Port, you’ll connect with engineering leaders tackling the next frontier of developer productivity in the age of AI-driven, agentic workflows. You’ll identify high-value opportunities, craft meaningful outreach, and help organizations understand how Port’s AEP unifies people, agents, and infrastructure to deliver software faster, safer, and smarter.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, AI-forward SaaS environment and wants to build a career at the intersection of sales, technology, and innovation

  • Identify and qualify potential customers across key segments (Platform, DevOps, and Engineering Leadership)
  • Lead outbound prospecting efforts to generate pipeline and expand awareness of Port’s AEP
  • Use AI-enabled sales tools to personalize outreach and improve engagement
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product to align messaging with Port’s AEP vision
  • Stay current on AI trends, platform engineering, and agentic automation to add value in every conversation
  • Track all engagement and progress in HubSpot with precision and consistency
  • Support trade shows and campaigns that position Port as the category-defining AEP
Requirements
  • 1–3 years in SaaS sales, preferably with exposure to developer tools or AI technologies
  • Curious and comfort discussing technical topics like platform engineering, AI agents, or DevOps workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot / Salesforce preferred)
  • Passion for innovation and a desire to be part of an AI-forward company that’s defining a new category

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
