Who We Are
Renovo Financial is a dynamic and fast-growing private lender and mortgage servicer based in Chicago, dedicated to partnering with real estate investors who acquire and renovate single and multi-family residential properties. We take pride in delivering exceptional support to our clients, guiding them seamlessly from loan application to pay off with a commitment to unparalleled service. Our focus on reliability and a “win-win” approach has earned us an industry-leading repeat and referral rate, reflecting the strong relationships we build with our clients.

Position Summary
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in driving growth for Renovo by working directly alongside a dedicated, in-market Lender (SVP, MD, or RMD). This is an apprenticeship-style role designed to provide hands-on training and mentorship, and is intended as the first step toward becoming a Lender at Renovo, for the right candidates. SDRs will be responsible for building new borrower relationships through cold outreach, targeted prospecting, and active participation in local networking and industry events and attending client meetings with their paired Lender. By working closely with their paired Lender, SDRs will learn the fundamentals of lending, pipeline management, relationship building and the “Renovo Way”, while directly contributing to the growth of their market.

  • Prepare and distribute timely prospect feedback and insights to sales and marketing colleagues
  • Act as an ambassador of Renovo’s values and culture in every interaction with potential and existing clients
  • Begin building a network of referral partners and industry contacts in your market
Data, Technology and Reporting

  • Produce regular reports on lead activity, pipeline development, and conversion progress for review with management
Market Intelligence & Continuous Learning
  • Stay informed on local market conditions, trends, and competitor activity to support educated conversations with prospects
  • Continuously build knowledge of real estate investing and lending to identify prospect pain points and deliver tailored solutions
  • Over time, attend occasional client meetings and sit in on client discovery calls with your Lender to learn the nuances of “building a deal” and how to operate as a Lender in your market
  • Be an active and engaged “student” of the credit and underwriting process, with an eye towards understanding risk
Be the Culture
  • Bring Renovo’s values to life through your actions, choices, and commitment to a shared purpose
