Job Description:

The opportunity:

The Sales Coordinator (SC) works directly with the Stop Loss Specialists (SLSs), Account Managers (AM) and Sr. Account Managers (Sr. AM), and to coordinate the completion of prospect and sold case activities. The SC is required to ensure the efficient flow of information by communicating effectively with internal and external partners including: SLSs, AMs, Sr. AMs, Third Party Administrators (TPAs), Brokers, and Clients. This will include but is not limited to prospect activity, reporting, system updates, questionnaires, sending proposals, broker updates, and confirming plan documents. This role supports the Account Managers and Sr. Account Managers in the primary day-to-day needs for internal and external clients and contributes to client satisfaction, retention, and growth.

How you will contribute::

Partners with SC team to build and maintain effective working relationships with SLSs, AMs, Sr. AMs, Underwriters, Premium Specialists, as well as external partners.

Provides support to AMs/Sr. AMs, resulting in a proactive account management approach, through the development of strong relationships and industry knowledge.

Communicate regularly with internal partners to ensure that client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

Adopting even responsibility amongst tasks, pulls work alongside CS team members and completes tasks in a timely manner.

Offers support on items including but not limited to prospect activity, reporting, system updates, questionnaires, sending proposals, broker updates, and confirming plan documents. (Including Health Navigator cases)

Completes tasks within standard turn-around time and if there is a delay, communicate in a timely manner with the client.

Actively participates in the development of SC teams processes and tasks, while providing suggestions on how to make processes more efficient, leveraging our CI Tools.

Builds out and updates current processes for tasks completed within SC team.

Continues education on new processes, products, and offerings.

Mentor new hires within this role.

Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

What you will bring with you:

A bachelor’s degree and or a minimum of one year of client/customer support, preferably in an account services capacity.

Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and strong relationship-building skills.

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.

Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and transaction-oriented environment.

Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in support of the team’s work efforts during peak periods.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a cohesive team.

Knowledge of insurance industry, distribution, and customer service preferred.

Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite of products with good technical knowledge of Excel.

Experience using different tools simultaneously.

Depending on proximity to a Sun Life office location, hybrid schedule.

Salary Range: $55,700 - $75,200
