SaaS Implementation Project Manager

Location: Remote (U.S.-based, U.S. Citizens Only)
Type: Full-Time

Clearance: Must pass FBI fingerprint and background check in multiple states

Overview:

GovWorx is seeking a highly organized, technically curious SaaS Implementation Project Manager to lead a high-volume portfolio of customer implementations. This role typically manages 40 or more concurrent projects with implementation timelines ranging from 30 to 120 days.

The successful candidate combines disciplined portfolio management with strong customer communication, technical aptitude, and sound judgment. They are comfortable learning software, discussing configurations and integrations with technical teams, and using AI and automation to work more efficiently. This is a hands-on execution role for someone who can maintain momentum across many projects without sacrificing accuracy or the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Execution:

  • Own projects from sales handoff through configuration, testing, launch, and transition to Customer Success.

  • Maintain accurate milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, owners, and next steps across projects in different lifecycle stages.

  • Prioritize by customer impact, milestone urgency, risk, and dependency; identify delays early and escalate with recommended solutions.

  • Build repeatable project templates, customer communication cadences, and portfolio health reporting that leadership can trust.

Customer and cross functional leadership:

  • Serve as the primary customer contact, facilitate effective status meetings, and provide concise, proactive communication.

  • Set expectations, manage scope, and distinguish configuration questions, technical blockers, product limitations, and training needs.

  • Coordinate with Sales, Product, Engineering, Onboarding, and Customer Success to keep implementation work moving.

  • Translate customer workflows and business requirements into clear actions for both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

AI-Enabled, systems-minded work:

  • Use Claude or comparable AI tools to improve meeting preparation, documentation, communication, risk analysis, and reporting.

  • Create reusable prompts, templates, summaries, and workflows that reduce administrative effort across the portfolio.

  • Validate AI-assisted work, protect confidential information, and remain accountable for accuracy, judgment, and customer commitments.

  • Identify repetitive work that can be standardized, automated, or eliminated without weakening the customer experience.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project records, including meeting notes, task assignments, and completion status.

  • Provide regular progress reports to leadership, highlighting successes, risks, and areas needing attention.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to project delivery and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years managing customer-facing SaaS implementations, onboarding programs, or comparable technical projects.

  • Demonstrated success managing a high-volume portfolio of concurrent customer projects—not only a small number of complex initiatives.

  • Working knowledge of implementation lifecycles, including discovery, configuration, data preparation, integrations, testing, training, launch, and handoff.

  • Technical aptitude and the ability to learn unfamiliar software quickly, ask effective questions, and work comfortably with product and engineering teams.

  • Excellent written communication, meeting facilitation, prioritization, documentation, and escalation judgment.

  • Demonstrated use of AI, automation, templates, or repeatable workflows to improve individual or team productivity.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting government, public-sector, regulated, or compliance-sensitive customers.

  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, data migration, SSO, system configuration, or technical troubleshooting.

  • Experience creating implementation playbooks, automations, dashboards, or portfolio health indicators.

Our Working Environment

Our primary tools include GuideCX, Linear, Notion, Slack, Gmail, Claude, and Google Drive. We operate in an Apple/macOS, browser-based environment rather than a Windows-centric environment. Exact tool experience is helpful; the ability to learn quickly and build disciplined working systems is essential.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Customers receive proactive communication and are not surprised by risks, changes, or delays.

  • Project status, ownership, dependencies, and next steps remain accurate and visible across 40+ active implementations.

  • Technical blockers reach the right teams early and with enough context to act.

  • Reusable processes and AI-enabled workflows reduce administrative effort while improving delivery consistency.

The Right Fit

  • You will thrive here if you are a calm, accountable operator who enjoys creating clarity in motion. You follow through, surface risks early, communicate directly, and continually improve how work gets done—without losing sight of the customer.

  • GovWorx is committed to building a strong, collaborative team and welcomes qualified candidates who meet the role’s requirements.
