The designated home site for this position is Castle Cary. Candidates should be able to commute to the Castle Cary site at least once per month.
The Strategic Revenue Management (SRM) Analyst exists to drive profitable commercial growth by translating complex pricing, promotional, and portfolio data into actionable revenue strategies. Reporting to the SRM Head and working closely with the Student on core data inputs, this role leads deep dives into pricing elasticity, designs portfolio promotional strategies, and builds practical commercial tools for Sales. By bridging data analysis with clear, actionable recommendations, this position plays a pivotal role in enabling commercial decision-making across SRM, Sales, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis & Building Actionable Business Recommendations
- Pricing & Elasticity Insights: Conducts deep-dive diagnostics on base and promotional price elasticities to guide annual pricing roadmaps and safeguard margin delivery.
- Price Pack Architecture (PPA): Analyzes portfolio mix, pack price-value curves, and consumer price points to identify whitespace opportunities and optimize structural mix.
- Cross-Functional Co-Piloting: Translates overarching SRM frameworks into practical trade guidelines and guardrails for Sales and Finance during Joint Business Planning (JBP) cycles.
- Data Administration & Integrity: Collaborates closely with the Student Assistant to ensure underlying price files, governance logs, and analytical data sets remain accurate, centralized, and streamlined.
2. SRM Tool Building & Commercial Enablement
- Promotional Strategy & Capability Tools: Designs and refines intuitive ROI simulation tools for Sales teams, ensuring trade promotional investment is deployed effectively across key retail partners.
- Trade Terms Tools: Designs and deploys structural tracking and ROI models to ensure Qualitative Trade Terms (QTT) and commercial incentives deliver measurable return on investment.
- Portfolio & Mix Models: Builds and maintains mix simulation tools that empower commercial teams to model volume-price-mix trade-offs and maximize overall portfolio profitability.
What do we look for:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent
- SRM analyst experience and/or junior finance background and/or business analyst experience
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI for robust data processing, reporting, and visualization.
- Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining interactive dashboards that translate complex data into clear, user-friendly visuals.
- Strong background in data analysis, with a proven track record of deriving actionable business insights to drive decision-making.
- Solid capability to collaborate and influence across cross-functional teams and align diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate data-driven stories and recommendations to both technical and non-technical partners.
- Experience in data or financial modelling is a strong plus.
