Our client is a robotics company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Write and ship software that runs robotic systems in live production settings, working across the stack from low-level firmware to cloud services. Partner closely with a small engineering group and support rollouts at customer sites.
What you'll do
- Develop real-time robot control code, motion planning and optimization, and machine learning pipelines across several hardware platforms.
- Build and maintain data labeling tools, perception systems and compilers that support robot behavior.
- Move up and down the stack, from firmware to cloud infrastructure, to address the most pressing technical problems.
- Work side by side with teammates to design and deliver robotic systems.
- Install and tune software at customer facilities so it performs reliably in the field.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience writing code that controls physical machines, such as robotic arms or other autonomous devices.
- Strong programming fundamentals across several languages, with Python required.
- Hands-on experience with production robotics software, including ROS and supporting infrastructure.
- Broad understanding of the full robotics stack and experience integrating hardware with software.
- Track record of taking products from initial build through to live use.
- Demonstrated ownership of significant technical results.
- Comfort working in a small, fast-paced team where individuals carry a lot of responsibility.
- BS or higher in computer science, robotics or a related engineering field.
- Ability to work on-site full-time.

- Experience with TypeScript and React.

- Base salary: USD 130,000 to 180,000 per year
