ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
River Park is Harvard-Westlake's new campus in Studio City, and the Operations Support team helps make the campus welcoming, organized, and ready for the people who use it every day. From the front desk to facility access, reservations, supplies, and day-to-day operational needs, this role helps keep River Park running smoothly for students, employees, families, guests, and community members.
River Park opens with new spaces, new systems, and a new community of users. This role helps establish the routines, service standards, and operational practices that will shape the campus from the start. You'll work closely with Operations, Security, Athletics, Facilities, and other departments to respond to questions, coordinate access, maintain accurate information, and help address the needs that come with a busy new campus.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
This role provides front-desk, guest service, administrative, and operational support at River Park, helping ensure the campus is welcoming, organized, and ready for daily use.

River Park Front Desk and Guest Services

  • Provide welcoming, professional front-desk service to students, employees, families, guests, vendors, and members of the public
  • Check in visitors and support access to River Park facilities, including tennis courts, pool, track, and other approved spaces, following established procedures
  • Provide information and assistance regarding facilities, programs, reservations, and policies; resolve routine questions and concerns or direct them to the appropriate team member

Operations and Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative and operational support for the Operations department and school community
  • Maintain accurate records, data, schedules, reservations, and other operational information using school systems and technology
  • Coordinate with Operations, Security, Athletics, Facilities, and other departments to address guest and operational needs
  • Learn and use school systems, reservation tools, spreadsheets, and other operational technology

Supplies, Inventory, and Campus Support

  • Assist with receiving, organizing, tracking, and distributing operational supplies, materials, and inventory
  • Maintain organized supply and storage areas and communicate replenishment needs
  • Support campus activities, facility-use needs, events, and other day-to-day operational requirements
  • Identify and communicate facility, equipment, supply, or service needs to appropriate team members
  • Assist with moving and organizing supplies and materials as needed

Customer Service and Teamwork

  • Provide friendly, responsive, and professional service consistent with Harvard-Westlake standards and expectations
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with students, employees, families, visitors, vendors, and members of the public
  • Exercise sound judgment when responding to routine questions, requests, and operational issues
  • Work collaboratively with Operations Support and other school departments as priorities and campus needs change
  • Contribute to a positive, organized, and welcoming environment at River Park

Community Responsibilities

  • Participate in school events, retreats, advisory, lunch supervision, professional development days, and community programming as appropriate to the role
  • Collaborate across departments and campuses in support of the school's mission and the broader life of the school.
  • Additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

  • High school diploma, GED, or commensurate experience
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems, reservation tools, spreadsheets, and other operational technology
  • Ability to follow established procedures and use good judgment when responding to routine situations
  • Clear, courteous, and professional communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, employees, families, visitors, vendors, and members of the public
  • Ability and willingness to work assigned early morning, evening, and weekend shifts

Preferred

  • Previous customer service, administrative, recreation, school, hospitality, office, or operations experience
  • Experience working in a front-desk, reception, guest-services, or other customer-facing environment
  • Experience using scheduling, reservation, database, or inventory systems

SCHEDULE
This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position. We have two open positions for this role with different shifts. River Park provides front-desk coverage seven days per week, with assigned shifts generally scheduled between 7 am and 9 pm. Shifts will generally span approximately nine hours, with meal periods scheduled in accordance with school policy.

Regular schedules may include early morning, evening, and weekend work, as well as occasional holiday or special-event work based on operational needs. Overtime opportunities may be available based on operational needs and applicable school policy.

COMPENSATION
This is a non-exempt position with a base compensation of $20–$25 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

ABOUT HARVARD-WESTLAKE
Harvard-Westlake is an independent school with two campuses in Los Angeles and approximately 1,600 students enrolled in grades 7–12. Classes for grades 7–9 take place on the Middle School campus in the Holmby Hills neighborhood, while grades 10–12 are housed on the Upper School campus in Studio City. A third campus, River Park, focused on athletics and recreation, is scheduled to open in Fall 2026.
