  • CRM Expertise & System Collaboration: Work closely with the Revenue Operations Systems team to design, implement, and optimize CRM (primarily HubSpot, with potential Salesforce exposure) configurations and workflows to ensure accurate and comprehensive data capture for reporting and analysis.
  • Advanced Reporting & Dashboarding: Own the design, development, and maintenance of sophisticated reports and interactive dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) across all revenue teams.
  • Mentorship & Guidance: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and cross-functional stakeholders on best practices in data analysis, reporting, and the use of revenue operations tools.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis & Projects: Conduct complex ad-hoc analyses and lead strategic projects as needed to address critical business questions and drive operational improvements.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a reporting and analytics role within a fast-paced environment, preferably in the software or technology sector, with experience in the education technology industry being a significant advantage.
  • Expert-level proficiency in HubSpot or Salesforce CRM, including advanced reporting and dashboarding capabilities. Demonstrated ability to leverage CRM data to generate strategic insights.
  • Proven track record of working effectively across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance teams, with a deep understanding of the interdependencies within a revenue operations framework.

  • Proactive and strategic problem-solver with a strong continuous improvement mindset and a proven ability to drive change based on data.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • A passion for the education technology industry and a desire to contribute to improving outcomes for students.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
