WHOOP Labs is the research and hardware validation arm of WHOOP. Our work focuses on conducting human trials to validate next-gen features and technology.
As a Researcher I, you will join the WHOOP Labs team to execute data collections for a range of research studies for algorithm training and design testing. Your efforts will support the organization as we continue to develop a best in class experience and lead the wearables industry.
This is a W-2, Temporary role through the remainder of 2026, with an hourly pay range of $28 - $32. Candidates must be prepared to work in person at WHOOP Labs in Boston, MA 5 days each week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with other researchers to execute testing protocols
- Provide coaching and guidance to participants during exercise protocols, balancing data integrity, research best practices, and participant experience
- Create a supportive and welcome environment for participants engaging in a range of research tasks, from exercises to device interactions
- Manage the use and upkeep of data collection equipment and prototype devices
- Report research progress regularly and highlight data quality issues or other bugs to relevant technical teams
- Own daily lab management tasks required for data collections to be possible, such as laundry, equipment cleaning, and material organization
- Serve as an ambassador for the WHOOP Labs and WHOOP brand
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in human physiology, biomedical engineering, exercise physiology, or similar
- Strong technological background and working knowledge of data management systems including the Google Suite
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with a savvy for working as part of a highly collaborative, fast-paced team
- Prior experience in customer service or other public-facing roles a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional, timely, organized
