OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox Corporation

Under the FOX banner, we produce and distribute content through some of the world’s leading and most valued brands, including: FOX News Media, FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations and Tubi Media Group. We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Red Seat Ventures partners with the world's top creators across multiple genres to grow and monetize their content — through advertising, subscription, live events, and beyond. We take a multiplatform approach spanning podcasting, video, FAST, and more, backed by our own proprietary tech stack including Supercast (subscription) and Speakeasy (hosting, distribution, and monetization).

Named after Ted Williams' longest home run at Fenway Park, RSV was built with a simple mandate: swing for the fences. Today, we're the fastest-growing creator network, backed by Tubi Media Group and Fox Corporation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Red Seat Ventures is seeking a curious, detail-oriented Research Analyst to help tell the story of our podcast and creator audiences and demonstrate the value of advertising across our portfolio.

Working closely with Research, Sales and Marketing, you will translate audience research and campaign performance data into clear insights that support advertiser proposals, campaign evaluation and renewals. You will gain hands-on experience with podcast audience measurement, brand lift studies and attribution while helping connect advertiser objectives to measurable results.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop audience profiles that highlight listeners’ demographics, interests, purchasing behaviors and relevance to prospective advertisers.
  • Use syndicated research, audience data and marketplace intelligence to support sales proposals, advertiser requests and competitive positioning.
  • Track podcast consumption, creator trends and competitive advertising activity to identify opportunities for our sales teams.
  • Maintain recurring reports, research databases and presentation materials, ensuring accuracy and documenting sources.
  • Support the design and execution of custom surveys and brand lift studies, including questionnaire review, fieldwork tracking and analysis.
  • Help evaluate campaign results against advertiser objectives, including awareness, favorability, consideration, purchase intent and behavioral response.
  • Assist with attribution reporting to understand website visits, conversions and other advertiser outcomes associated with podcast campaigns.
  • Create clear campaign recaps, charts and case studies that explain findings, highlight limitations and identify useful recommendations.
  • Translate research insights, audience behavior and industry trends into compelling sales presentations and marketing initiatives that demonstrate RSV’s value to advertisers.
  • Partner with the research lead in client-facing meetings to present research findings and communicate key insights that inform ad sales strategies and client recommendations.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Approximately 1–2 years of relevant experience in media research, advertising analytics, consumer insights or a related field. Relevant internships may count toward this experience.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with close attention to data quality and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables and charts, and the ability to create clear PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain what findings mean for a business question.
  • Foundational understanding of survey research, sample sizes, comparisons and advertising performance metrics.
  • Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to balance recurring assignments and time-sensitive requests.
  • Interest in podcasts, digital creators, audience behavior and advertising effectiveness.
  • Curiosity, resourcefulness and a willingness to learn new tools and methodologies.

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Familiarity with podcast audience research and intelligence sources such as Edison Research, Podtrac, Triton Digital, MRI-Simmons, Magellan AI or MediaRadar.
  • Exposure to attribution and campaign measurement platforms such as Podscribe, Spotify Ad Analytics, Claritas or ArtsAI.
  • Experience supporting brand lift studies or working with research partners such as Veritonic, Nielsen, Dynata or YouGov.
  • Familiarity with podcast advertising formats, including host-read sponsorships and dynamically inserted ads.
  • Basic understanding of attribution, incrementality and the distinction between audience delivery, brand impact and conversion outcomes.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
