THE ROLE: Research Analyst, Community Insights

Britebound is a national nonprofit that is changing the way kids learn about careers and prepare for their futures through access to career-readiness information and experiences. Britebound fulfills its mission through free digital-first direct experiences, philanthropy, advocacy, thought leadership, groundbreaking research, and impact investing.

We believe that exploring career possibilities, as early as middle school, and providing access to education-to-career pathways aligned with one’s passions and goals will result in greater confidence and long-term success for all students.

We are looking for a Research Analyst, Community Insights. This role will partner closely with the Research & Insights team and colleagues across Britebound on internal- and external-facing research, while owning the strategy and day-to-day effectiveness of our online research communities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Research & Data Analysis:
    • Ensure data integrity through data cleaning, validation, and preparation across diverse datasets; produce topline statistics, subgroup comparisons, and multivariate analyses that address key research questions.
    • Apply statistical methods such as regression analysis, clustering, significance testing, and driver analysis to uncover insights, explain variation in outcomes, and identify actionable findings.
    • Translate complex findings into clear charts, captions, visualizations, dashboards, reports, briefs, and presentations that are compelling and accessible to non-technical audiences.
  • Online Research Community Management :
    • Manage Britebound’s three distinct online research communities (teens, parents, and counselors).
    • Engage with internal Britebound teams to design and conduct weekly research engagements to meet team needs. = Synthesize and deliver findings on a quick-turnaround cadence.
    • Design and program research engagements based on organizational needs for teen, parent, and counselor online communities.
    • Lead the launch and ongoing management of Britebound’s new counselor community, including recruitment, engagement, research programming, and continuous improvement of the member experience.
  • Online Community Strategy:
    • Develop and steward Britebound’s overarching strategy for online research communities, establishing consistent approaches to recruitment, retention, incentives, engagement, research cadence, governance, and insight sharing across audiences.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
    • Help shape the Research & Insights team’s research agenda and analytical approaches; build strong cross-functional relationships to identify shared research needs and advance data-driven initiatives across Britebound.
    • Contribute to Research & Insights reports by activating Britebound’s online communities to source relevant qualitative feedback that adds depth and context to quantitative findings.
    • Propose and develop strategies for creating dashboards or other data visualizations that enable impactful use of findings from online research communities and other Britebound research projects.

About You:

  • 5-10 years of experience in research, polling, analytics, community-based research, or a related role, with a proven track record of completing complex analyses, working with rich datasets, and developing clear data visualizations.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with tools such as R, SQL, Python, STATA, SPSS, Dataiku, and/or comparable platforms; able to synthesize complex information and develop actionable insights.
  • Experience building, managing, or engaging online communities, panels, or research participant networks; skilled in recruitment, retention, incentive strategy, moderation, and translating member feedback into usable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn quantitative and qualitative findings into concise, audience-appropriate stories and recommendations.
  • Able to connect the big picture to execution, manage multiple workstreams and deadlines, and proactively identify opportunities to improve research quality and business impact.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, resilient, results-oriented, and comfortable engaging in constructive debate and incorporating diverse perspectives. Able to build trust and credibility across levels and functions.

Salary Range: $87,700 - $115,000

Britebound is committed to fair and transparent pay. In determining compensation, we consider a variety of job-related factors, including prior experience, certifications and licenses, skills and expertise, geographic location, and internal equity.     

We take a total compensation approach, meaning we look beyond salary alone to support, reward, and recognize the whole individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may also include a bonus, 403(b) retirement plan participation, generous paid time off, and comprehensive health and life insurance benefits. As a result, final offer amounts may vary from the salary range listed in the job posting.
