Job Title: Renewals Specialist
About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, commercially sharp Renewals Specialist to partner directly with our Sales and Customer Experience teams to drive timely, efficient, and profitable renewals across our customer base. This pivotal role acts as a primary commercial advisor guiding the construction of optimal renewal order forms and commercial terms that align with customer needs and company objectives. The ideal candidate brings a procurement background from large enterprise environments and understands how sophisticated buyers think — using that insight to negotiate assertively, protect margin, and drive favorable outcomes for Transmit Security. This role requires direct engagement with customers to clarify and negotiate commercial terms, including the confidence to hold firm on terms and push back when needed.

In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with AEs on renewal construction, review terms and margins, and serve as the central coordinator across Finance, Legal, and Operations to manage the end-to-end contracting process. Your strategic thinking, negotiation instincts, and deep understanding of the customer lifecycle will be essential for balancing renewal velocity with successful, compliant, and commercially sound outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Experience leadership to drive operational rigor across the renewal pipeline — inspecting renewal activity, identifying execution gaps, and escalating blockers to keep opportunities moving forward.
  • Develop and maintain customer-facing content that enables champions to justify continued and expanded investment in Transmit Security internally — including business cases, value summaries, and ROI materials.
  • Own and continuously optimize the renewal process — building structured frameworks, improving forecasting workflows, and ensuring every renewal is set up to close on time and at or above prior contract value.
  • Proactively identify at-risk renewals through customer health signals, usage data, and engagement trends, coordinating cross-functional responses to mitigate churn.
  • Lead commercial negotiations on renewals with confidence and discipline — drawing on enterprise procurement experience to anticipate customer tactics, counter effectively, and close on terms that protect company interests, even when conversations become difficult.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across Finance, Legal, and Sales on all renewal transactions — managing interdependencies, driving alignment, and ensuring each function has what it needs to move deals forward without unnecessary delays.
  • Leverage AI-powered tooling and automation to surface renewal risks, prioritize outreach, and generate data-driven insights that improve on-time renewal rates and net retention.
  • Improve and document renewal processes to increase operational efficiency and ensure consistent execution across the team.
  • Support deal operations for complex enterprise renewals, including multi-product and non-standard commercial structures.
  • Produce renewal pipeline reporting, forecasting analysis, and operational insights that help leadership make faster, better decisions.
  • Ensure CRM data accuracy and support GTM technology. Report on renewal metrics and trends, suggesting adjustments to boost renewal rates and profitability.
  • Collaborate with Sales and CX on renewal mechanics and commercial structuring — providing operational guidance on pricing parameters, contract requirements, and approval workflows to keep deals moving without creating bottlenecks.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Renewals, Procurement, Customer Success, Sales Operations, or a closely related role within a large enterprise or SaaS/technology company, with a strong focus on complex contract and commercial management.
  • Background in enterprise procurement or vendor management — ideally from the buy side at a large enterprise — giving you firsthand understanding of how procurement teams evaluate, negotiate, and apply pressure during renewal cycles.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading high-stakes commercial negotiations with the resolve to hold firm on pricing, terms, and structure when customers push back.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across Finance, Legal, and Sales on complex transactions — driving cross-functional alignment without losing deal momentum.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent customer-facing communication, negotiation, and advisory skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), pricing strategies, and contract management processes.
  • Knowledge of renewal pipeline management, net retention forecasting, and deal operations.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted sales or customer success tools (e.g., predictive churn scoring, automated renewal workflows) and a genuine interest in applying emerging AI capabilities to improve renewal outcomes.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving business needs, and capable of managing simultaneous, high-priority renewal cycles.
