About the role:

Pentera seeks a Renewal Manager who is passionate about protecting and growing customer value by ensuring smooth, predictable, and transparent renewal experiences. The ideal candidate brings expertise in managing enterprise-level commercial processes, balancing customer advocacy with organizational goals, and providing accurate, reliable forecasts.

As a Renewal Manager, you will own the commercial side of the customer lifecycle: contracts, renewals, licensing, and forecasting. You will partner closely with Customer Success Managers, Account Executives, and cross-functional stakeholders to secure renewals, identify expansion opportunities, and mitigate commercial risks. Pentera partners with some of the largest and most recognizable enterprises worldwide, so experience working with global procurement, legal, and finance teams is essential.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the commercial steward for your portfolio of accounts, owning renewal execution, contracts, and commercials end-to-end.
  • Partner with CSMs and AEs to align renewal terms with the customer’s success plan, business objectives, and expansion opportunities.
  • Engage directly with procurement, legal, and finance teams to manage redlines, POs, and contractual compliance with precision and timeliness.
  • Maintain accurate renewal data in CRM, including forecast dates, contract values, license consumption, and risk factors.
  • Proactively identify and escalate renewal risks early, collaborating with CSMs on mitigation strategies and save plays.
  • Deliver clear, transparent communication to customers around renewal timelines, terms, and next steps to avoid surprises.
  • Support expansion opportunities tied to renewals by ensuring pricing and commercials are structured correctly.
  • Provide leadership with accurate renewal forecasts, renewal rates (G$R/N$R), and pipeline visibility.
  • Collaborate with Support, Legal, and Finance to incorporate open issues, escalations, and compliance considerations into renewal outcomes.
  • Uphold Pentera’s reputation by ensuring the renewal process is seamless, professional, and customer-focused.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in renewals management, account management, or a related commercial role, with a proven record of managing enterprise-level contracts.
  • Experience managing renewals across global enterprise accounts, including working with legal, finance, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Background in cybersecurity or SaaS/technology environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering predictable renewal outcomes, mitigating risk, and balancing customer advocacy with business objectives.
  • Strong contract and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex legal and procurement processes.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, able to work with customers, internal executives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess renewal risks, interpret data, and provide reliable forecasts.
  • Comfortable collaborating across Sales, Customer Success, and Product to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
