Role Description

You'll own new business and expansion across the Pacific Northwest and Mountain Range States. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Sales. You'll build the territory from the ground up with support from Solutions Engineering, Marketing, and our cloud and data platform partners.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build and run territory and account plans across the region's largest enterprises
  • Generate pipeline and keep 3 to 4x coverage through prospecting, events, and partner co-selling
  • Run complex, multi-stakeholder deals using a qualification framework like MEDDPICC: develop champions, get to economic buyers, and spot deal risk early
  • Sell to SOC leaders, detection engineers, CISOs, and data and platform leaders, connecting Anvilogic to their SIEM cost, data lake, and SOC automation priorities
  • Co-sell with partners such as Snowflake, Databricks, and the cloud providers
  • Meet customers in person every week and travel within the territory as needed
  • Forecast accurately each week and quarter, and meet or beat your number
  • Turn early customers into references who help build the business in the region

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 4+ years of enterprise software sales, including SOC or security software (required)
  • A track record of closing six- and seven-figure deals with Fortune 1000 companies
  • Relationships with security and data leaders in the Pacific Northwest
  • Fluency in today's SOC conversations: SIEM costs, security data lakes, detection engineering, and AI in the SOC
  • A disciplined sales process and accurate forecasting
  • Startup experience: you're comfortable building without a playbook handed to you
  • Coachable, humble, driven, and a positive part of the team culture
  • Comfort using AI tools to research, prospect, and prepare

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In your first 90 days you'll have a territory plan, active pipeline across your top target accounts, and working relationships with our partners in the region. By 12 months you'll have closed new logos and built a referenceable customer base in the Pacific Northwest.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
