Job Purpose

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for leading and managing retail sales and operations within a dedicated region. This role focuses on building and developing a high-performing team to achieve sales targets, enhance client experiences, and ensure the profitability and success of the retail business. The role involves defining strategies, driving business performance, and seeking new opportunities for development and expansion, while also ensuring brand standards are met at all points of sale.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Business Development and Strategy
    • Develop and implement regional strategies to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
    • Analyze business trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
    • Continuously monitor and analyze retail performance data within the assigned region to formulate action plans to address performance gaps and capitalize on opportunities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, merchandising, etc.) to ensure alignment of retail strategies with overall company goals.
    • Establish relationships with key partners and stakeholders to develop a strong network that will support the success of the business.
    • Identify sales opportunities within the region and strategize to achieve annual sales goals.
  • Team Management and Development
    • Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations and scopes.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance management to support team members’ growth, success, and overall well-being, while inspiring local teams to achieve excellence and embody Benefit values.
    • Promote accountability, performance culture, and continuous learning within teams.
    • Foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, innovation, and employee engagement while encouraging diversity and inclusivity within the team.
    • Communicate closely with appropriate Benefit partners on all issues, concerns, and opportunities.
    • Maintain a succession pool of talent to fill open positions.
  • Client Experience and Brand Representation
    • Ensure that the highest level of client experience is consistently provided across all locations in the region, creating a memorable and personalized experience for every client.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance brand loyalty and reputation within the assigned region.
  • Operational Excellence and Sales Management
    • Oversee retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and promotional programming to maximize efficiency and profitability within the assigned region.
    • Administer and track all budgets within the assigned region. Monitor and control expenses (T&E, freelance) within the set budget.
    • Ensure compliance with Internal Control policies and Audit readiness.
    • Continually assess and improve retail operational efficiency throughout the region.

 

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Ability to test and apply products to skin.
  • Physical capability for tasks that may involve lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Continuous standing/walking for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Continuous bending of neck, arms, torso, and legs for a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Work in a fragrance-filled environment.
  • Physical contact with clients/customers.
  • Able to use a computer for prolonged periods (6-8 hours/day).
  • Travel requirement (up to 80%).

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in beauty sales or a related field, with established managerial capacities.
  • Proven track record of implementing sales strategy and achieving sales and service goals.
  • Must have proof of insurance, a current and valid driver’s license, and a reliable means of transportation.
  • Cosmetology or Aesthetician license preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and successfully complete the E-Verify process.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays, as needed to meet the requirements of the business.
  • Ability to travel within the United States, by air if necessary, for up to 4 days per week.

The target salary range for this position is $117,300 – $161,287 annually. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn a sales incentive bonus and/or commission. This position is also eligible for the following benefits, including but not limited to comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans; a 401(k) plan with employer matching; various paid time off programs; employee discounts/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; and flexible spending accounts.
