Job Summary:

The Regional Manager, Sales will be responsible for leading a territory within one of our sales regions. This role will drive revenue growth, acquire new customers, and expand existing client relationships. The Regional Manager, Sales will manage a team of Account Executives, assisting in strategy development and managing their performance to achieve regional sales targets. This role emphasizes coaching, mentorship, and fostering a high-performance culture while ensuring the team delivers outstanding service and value to OpenGov’s clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Account Executives to achieve sales quotas and key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners within the assigned region

  • Strong understanding of our products, industry trends, and competitors to support business growth and contribute to customer engagement, sales, and revenue targets

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets and increase market share

  • Recruit, hire, train, and continually develop a high-performing sales team

  • Encourage team collaboration and a positive, solution-oriented mindset to tackle challenges and identify new business opportunities.

  • Develop and oversee the sales process, ensuring consistent execution and adherence to best practices. Support Account Executives through the sales cycles, actively engaging from initial outreach to deal closure.

  • Accurately forecast sales performance and provide regular reports on sales activities and results

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Solution Engineering, Professional Services, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success, to drive revenue growth.

  • Report on sales activities and forecasts to senior management

  • Travel within the region as needed to meet with customers, attend conferences and trade shows, and support team members

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in business, marketing, or related field

  • 5+ years of direct selling experience, selling SaaS, B2B, and enterprise software to VP, SVP, and C-Level Executives

  • Experience leading high-performance teams is preferred

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets

  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)

  • Strong understanding of sales methodologies and techniques

  • Ability to travel up to 50% or more within the assigned region

Compensation:

$220,000 - $240,000

On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.

The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
