Passionate about precision medicine and advancing the healthcare industry?

Recent advancements in underlying technology have finally made it possible for AI to impact clinical care in a meaningful way. Tempus' proprietary platform connects an entire ecosystem of real-world evidence to deliver real-time, actionable insights to physicians, providing critical information about the right treatments for the right patients, at the right time.

We’re looking for a Recruiter or Senior Recruiter to join our growing People Operations team. In this role, you will primarily support hiring across our Research & Development (R&D) organization, including Bioinformatics and other PhD-level scientific roles, while also partnering with teams across the broader business. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives as an embedded recruiting partner and enjoys building strong, long-term relationships with hiring managers across scientific and business functions.

What You’ll Do:
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for a diverse set of roles, with a primary focus on technical and scientific (PhD-level) positions, from role intake through offer negotiation.

  • Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with hiring managers, operating as an embedded recruiting partner who deeply understands team goals, talent needs, and long-term workforce planning.

  • Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, advise on hiring process, and develop effective hiring strategies informed by market insights and business priorities.

  • Design and execute targeted sourcing strategies using a variety of tools and platforms, including Workday and LinkedIn Recruiter.

  • Manage candidate pipelines and maintain accurate, up-to-date records within our applicant tracking system (Workday).

  • Serve as a trusted talent advisor, guiding hiring managers on interview best practices, candidate evaluation, and hiring tradeoffs.

  • Champion an exceptional candidate experience through clear communication, thoughtful engagement, and timely follow-up.

  • Collaborate with recruiting and People Operations partners on process improvements, recruiting initiatives, and hiring efforts.

  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics to deliver data-driven insights to hiring managers and leadership.

What You Bring:
  • 3+ years of full-cycle, in-house recruiting experience, ideally within healthcare, biotech, life sciences, or a related technical environment.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering closely with hiring managers as a strategic advisor rather than operating in a transactional or agency-style recruiting model.

  • Experience recruiting for highly specialized or advanced-degree (PhD-level) scientific roles.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence, build trust, and navigate complex stakeholder relationships.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proficiency with ATS and sourcing tools such as Workday and LinkedIn Recruiter

About the People Operations Team:

We support the candidate journey from initial outreach through onboarding and take pride in delivering a thoughtful, inclusive, and high-touch experience for candidates and internal stakeholders alike.
