General Description:
Located in Malibu, California, HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art. We are currently seeking student interns to help develop the practicality of cutting-edge quantum technologies.
Essential Duties:
Under the supervision and guidance of a technical advisor, the quantum technology intern may support:
Experimental benchwork
Software development
Analysis of experimental data
Computational theory
Required Skills:
Experience in one or more of the following:
Electromagnetic/optical/quantum simulation
Scientific data analysis
Software development
Electrical test and measurement
Optical test and measurement
Cryogenic systems
Protocol/algorithm development/implementation
Circuit design and evaluation
Proficiency with MS Office suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related undergraduate program
Research in quantum technology or related field
Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program
Special Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position $43 - $48 per hour.
