Job Summary

Job Description

Job Responsibilities: Implement and oversee a total Quality Management System including the development of standards and protocols including but not limited to: Incoming raw material and part inspections.

Finished goods inspections.

Implement and oversee a FRACAS process (Failure Reporting Analysis Corrective Action System).

Determine root causes.

Recommend corrective actions.

Track and report factory rework.

Collaborate with the Finance and Customer Service Teams to track and report the total cost of poor quality.

Be the primary point of contact and lead customer mandated quality control initiatives.

Collaborate with the Engineering Team to develop a robust document control process.

Collaborate with the Procurement Team on vendor quality evaluations.

Support the ME/CI Team on LEAN initiatives, fabrication process and efficient workflow.

Provide constructive feedback to the Engineering Department regarding suggested product design improvements, efficient drawing / BOM structure and discrepancies or conflicts on drawings.

Support Plant Manager and ME Team with maintaining and retaining our AWS & Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certifications.
