We are seeking a Quality Engineer Co-op to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of Waltham, MA.
Job Summary
In this role, you’ll help ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of our cloud‑based products, including features powered by AI. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to test new features, build automation, and improve the overall customer experience.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy problem‑solving, experimenting with new technologies, and learning how modern SaaS and AI systems are built and tested.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Test new features across our SaaS platform, including web apps, APIs, backend services
- Design, execute, and document manual test cases for functional, regression, and exploratory testing
- Build and maintain automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, pytest, or Postman
- Validate AI‑powered features, including model outputs, accuracy, edge cases, and user experience
- Reproduce, isolate, and document defects with clear steps, logs, and supporting evidence
- Participate in CI/CD workflows and learn how automated testing fits into cloud deployments
- Contribute to quality dashboards and metrics
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of testing methodologies across different layers of the stack (unit, component integration, regression, API testing)
- Interest in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker).
- Curiosity, attention to detail, and a passion for quality.
- Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
This position offers a total compensation range of $25.00 to $27.00 per hour. In addition, more information about Imprivata’s benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata’s compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
