The Quality Control (QC) Biochemist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the QC testing of products and raw materials, the generation of data and the timely release of products and material.
This role is a maternity cover contract.
This position is part of the QC team located just outside Tulla in Lismeehan, O'Callaghan's Mills, Co. Clare and will be an onsite position. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Conduct QC testing of products and raw materials in accordance with relevant procedures the review of results and system release of product.
Responsibility for generation of data including reporting and follow up on OOS results and the creation of NC reports or deviations, if necessary
Ensure that GLP and safety standards are maintained
Responsibility for the testing and generation of reports for micro analysis and process water quality in accordance with relevant procedures and follow up on O0S results and the creation of NC reports, if necessary
Responsibility for rotated laboratory duties to include calibration, , maintenance programmes, managing laboratory disposable stocks housekeeping, autoclave waste management and ensure that all equipment and analysers are maintained in accordance with relevant procedures.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Relevant Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in a science or similar discipline
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Familiarity with laboratory equipment e.g. Analytical Balances, pH Meters, Pipettes
Quality Control/Quality Assurance processes
Working knowledge of GMP & Quality & Safety standards
Microsoft Office
