Wachsman is a global communications and strategy consultancy focused on advising the leaders of the new economy. Born in the blockchain industry, it is a critical partner to companies working across fintech and digital payments, banking, asset management, and B2B/B2C technology.

We work with pioneers of emerging industries to shape the way the world sees and understands them. Built for the digital and decentralised age, we provide our clients with a unique blend of advisory services spanning strategic and communications consulting; reputation, issues, and risk management; and public policy and regulation. We enable them to establish and defend their industry position as they drive digital transformation and navigate new challenges and opportunities.

Founded in 2015 with regional headquarters now in New York, Dublin, London and Singapore, Wachsman has solidified its position as a trusted advisor to some of the world’s most innovative companies, including in market entry, change management, product launches, mergers and acquisitions, corporate repositioning, and regulatory compliance.

We are looking for an ambitious communications professional to join our team in Manhattan. Candidates must be based in or close to Manhattan and able to attend in-person meetings at short notice. While this role will initially be remote, we plan to have an office in NYC in the near future and would require a hybrid work environment. This role is referred to as Consultant in Wachsman's organizational structure, but it is the equivalent of an Account Manager in other agencies.

Duties:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of highly successful global PR campaigns.
  • Drafting, editing, and issuing press materials.
  • Dealing with enquiries from press, clients, new business and external organisations.
  • Researching and creating narratives for pitching to reporters globally.
  • Conducting one-on-one client engagement regularly.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with influential media to secure and grow coverage.
  • Conducting meetings with clients and new business.
  • Supporting and training junior team members.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Minimum of 3 years of PR agency experience.
  • Exceptional work ethic and be motivated to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication with a strong interest in finance and technology.
  • Strong track record of securing media coverage and experience in developing relationships with reporters.
  • Ability to think strategically when developing global PR campaigns.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and present complex information in a concise and clear form.
  • Skilled in media monitoring and analytics to effectively track and present campaign performance insights to clients.
  • Excellent proactivity, organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Though we aim to include as much detail as possible in our job postings, this job description does not include all potential tasks and responsibilities for this role. Responsibilities may change, or new ones may be assigned throughout your employment as needed.

We have a market-based compensation structure. The salary for this position may vary based on a candidate’s experience, industry expertise, technical skills, and location. The anticipated salary range for the position is $70,000 to $85,000 annually.
