The Opportunity
??
Provide sales and/or client retention support to a specific line of business. Develop and execute strategies to continuously improve the design and delivery of sales support and/or client retention programs. Coordinate, plan, develop and implement sales support projects and recommend appropriate strategies, actions, and/or alternatives for business decisions relative to the projects under area of responsibility. Responsible for resolving and/or conducting research to resolve problems and/or issues that impact sales support and/or client retention programs. May provide technical support to intermediary, field force or direct sellers. May complete RFP responses and provide direct sales and/or client retention support to regional/ field sales and/or client/account management associates. May perform functions which contribute to the development of strategies that help maintain, and improve existing and new sales proposals, brochures, illustrations and presentation material. May develop/participate in and implement sales support and/or client retention training.

The Impact:
The Worksite Sales Support and RFP Consultant will play a multitude of roles in support of field / sales activities, including:??
Overseeing the on RFP process to ensure proper content, timeliness and seek process and output improvements from the team.??
Acting as project manager on field based initiatives to help drive activity and results.?
Based on volume, the role will complete RFPs and database management as part of their day to day activities.?
Supporting field-based activities including:
Managing the Worksite Internal Field Committee ? schedule calls, coordinate agenda s, speakers, presentations, feedback, notes
Managing the external Advisory Committee - ? schedule calls, coordinate agendas, speakers, presentations, feedback, notes
Setting up field-based events, conferences, webinars, trainings including agenda, location / logistics
Managing overall Worksite calendar to manage all internal and external events, deliverables
Managing Compensation documentation efforts.? Maintain records for Worksite Custom Compensation agreements.? Coordinating with Internal Wholesalers and DSP team to ensure compensation is built and appropriately documented.?
Other adhoc field related projects
Working with Head of Distribution Strategy and Head of Strategy and Planning on all the above.
The RFP consultant:
Receives the RFP directly from the Key Account Manager, Strategic Partnership Manager, TPE Relationship Manager or Internal Wholesaler based on regional territory assignments.
Communicates key facts regarding the RFP such as length, difficulty, type, platform, asset size, etc. ?as needed
Schedules a briefing call for the RFP, the timeline for the RFP delivery to the Internal wholesaler will be agreed upon on the call.?? After the call RFP Consultant will agree on the internal team timeline to all the RFP Consultant time to complete final customization.? Stand will be 48 hours for the review.?
Populates the RFP, marking the following:
Logging items,
Marking out of date records in process of renewal,
Marking custom answers in process of confirmation
Marking pricing/Internal wholesaler questions,
And marking miscellaneous items such team requests currently in process.
All of these marks will be made in the form of comments for the purpose of providing the RFP Consultant with direct information regarding each question, preventing confusion during the review process.
During the population process, the RFP consultant will also note any questions that they will need to address on the briefing call and take notes regarding them in a draft email.
On the date of the specified briefing call, the RFP consultant will initiate the call and ask all necessary questions. They will make sure to provide clear and concise notes.
After they have sent out their briefing call notes to the members of the call, they will go through the RFP and change the comments referenced in step 5 as necessary to reflect any new information acquired on the briefing call.
Finalize the draft for internal review. They will perform the following actions in order to facilitate this:
Makes sure all questions are answered to the best of the RFP consultant?s ability with the information available,
Confirms that all comments are resolved to the best of the RFP consultant?s ability with the information available,
Runs Spellcheck,
Complete a final read through of the RFP.
Finalize the RFP to be print ready.
Email the RFP to the RFP Consultant the RFP is ready to be customized.?? All information will be saved on the Pdrive for the RFP Consultant to access.
Thoroughly review the RFP making sure all questions are answered accurately, check spelling and grammar.?? The RFP Consultant will also customize the RFP to truly speak to the opportunity.??? Goal is to have the RFP fully customized & accurate as to not have any edits back from the Internal wholesalers or Managing Directors.
Upon return of the RFP the RFP consultant will review comments and/or requested change.?? The RFP Consultant is responsible for following up with the Internal wholesaler to be sure the reviews are completed and back to the RFP Consultant on time.
Database Updates
All records in the database updated, kept current with changes in the business
Annually, go through the database (Ideally Q1) to update all annual year-end information to current year end:? ex:?? AUM, number of clients, org history records all need to be updated ex:?? # of years in business lines is stated, those need to be updated to add a year (+1) to account for the new year.??
Make sure years in business are consistent across marketing pieces and all records in the database
The Minimum qualifications:
5-10+ Years of Project Management and/or Field Support Experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information clearly and appropriately which may contain sensitive information
Extremely organized, detail-oriented individual who is capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes
Strategic mindset and ability to create a vision, strategy and execution roadmap
Demonstrated agility and accountability to adapt and execute on changing business priorities
5+ Years in Group Benefits or Financial Services arena
Proficient with Microsoft Products ? Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project etc.
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent work experience.
For this position, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
