Senior Project Manager - OneGL PMO Lead
The Corporate Strategic Projects team is looking for a Project Management Office lead that will operate under limited direction of the Global Program Lead supporting our OneGL Program. The OneGL Program is a large, complex, and dynamic program that is focused on the delivery of the global Finance Enterprise solution for Liberty Mutual Corporate Finance. This is inclusive of various SAP core finance and Treasury modules (i.e., GL, FA, AP) and Cash Management, Treasury, Financial Product Subledger (FPLS), Reporting). The SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) module will be the primary allocation tool within the OneGL landscape.
The PMO lead will engage with stakeholders across our global LM Finance functions within Corporate and our business units; collaborate with the OneGL Delivery teams in all related PMO activities; and own the centralization of all OneGL project management activities across the program.
Responsibilities:

  • Supports Program Manager and leadership program objectives to deliver one integrated Financial System
  • Central point of contact with third party PMO support
  • Works with Program Manager to ensure third party is resourcing the program to plan
  • Support Program Manager in assessing program delivery structure and capacity constraints across the team
  • Conducts Program Quick Start Guide review with new program resources
  • Ensures project management processes are centralized across all program delivery tracks, e.g., MS Teams usage, stakeholder tracking, communications, status reporting, risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and escalations
  • Maintains schedule of program recurring activities using Microsoft Planner, assigns tasks, owners, and due dates
  • Facilitates pre-work, agendas, slides, meeting notes and action items for program governance forums including Change Control Board, Program Leadership Meetings, Design Authority Board, Working Steering Committee and Finance Steering Committee
  • Oversees Risks & Issues, Dependency and Decisions Management
  • Escalates risk to program timeline, cost, and scope to Program Leadership
  • Maintains Program Roadmaps
  • Ensures the PMO Project Management Playbook, Quick Start Guide and the OneGL Program Management Package are current and shared with team members
  • Reviews and applies continuous process efficiencies and improvements throughout the OneGL Program
  • Stays aligned with OCM team to ensure Change Management plan is aligned with program roadmap
  • Partners with Senior Scrum masters to understand Jira process and procedures for capturing program metrics
  • Provides additional project management support to delivery tracks as needed
  • Lead special projects /ad hoc request as needed within OneGL
  • Performs project close-out steps to include identifying lessons learned/best practices to inform the success of future phases of the program
  • Oversees and delegates work to the Project Management Support resource
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to junior level staff on additional activities that support the OneGL Program - example but not limited to; managing team rosters, stakeholder list, administrative onboarding of new team members, maintenance of the MS Teams site, and special project requests as needed.
  • Experience with Microsoft teams, SharePoint, OneNote, resourcefulness to help troubleshoot tools used by the program team.
  • Ability to work independently, assess issues and recommend course of action


Qualifications

  • Expert-level ability in managing all aspects of the project management life cycle for multiple projects at one time to include those complex in nature.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools.
  • Strong ability to adapt and address unique challenges in collaborative and creative ways. Project management certification strongly preferred.
  • Displays advanced communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills as well as advanced presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Advanced business operations knowledge to include understanding the function's value chain and market conditions strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience to include project management work.
