Our Senior Project Manager can be based remotely from anywhere in the United States.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to be the key champion for an assigned set of customers within MineralTree. We are looking for an experienced, services-oriented, and results-driven Senior Project Manager responsible for engaging with our customers, building relationships with key stakeholders, delivering professional services, and understanding their usage of MineralTree products.
This role requires exceptional customer centricity, team building, a motivational style, and analytical skills. The candidate should have experience with software implementations either with an enterprise software company or a systems integrator or consulting organization. The Senior Project Manager has overall ownership in the execution of all implementation tasks.
Responsibilities:
Sr. Project Managers will typically have ownership of 3 to 6 client relationships at any given point in time, with ultimate responsibility for all services required for a successful and on-schedule implementation of MineralTree products.
Project Status:
- Establish and drive project and customer-based Steering Committees
- Weekly project status meetings to address key factors including, timeline, budget, risks, action items, and resources
Project Scoping and Estimating:
- Manage and control project scope
- Work side by side with the project team and sales team to develop level of effort estimates and well-structured SOWs or Change Requests for client projects
Oversight and Guidance of Day-to-Day Project Delivery Teams:
- Manage the project lifecycle and project team, from analysis and design through implementation and deployment
- Work with Services leadership to determine optimal project staffing
- Experience creating detailed project workplans in MS Project or similar tool
- Manage and control scope changes and ensure team is following change management
- Ensure project team utilizes best practices and methodologies
- Anticipate and catch deviations from a plan or schedule early; maintain overall responsibility for scope and budget of projects, including the development and processing of change orders
- Identify, log, analyze and manage potential and actual issues and risks, taking corrective action by tackling day-to-day issues head on and reviewing how more serious issues and risks might impact scope, schedule, quality, and cost
- Manage potential escalations proactively to limit their impact to the project and customer relationship
- Resolve conflicts related to schedule, solution, and team performance
- Coach and guide team members to complete tasks and project deliverables
- Must act as primary source for communication of project information and is the owner of the project workplan
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience leading teams of technical experts in a hands-on environment
- Bachelor of Science degree
- Disciplined, enterprise-level Project Management of global software implementations
- Consulting experience with a consulting organization or within an enterprise software company (Professional Services)
- Experience implementing Cloud and On-Premises applications
- Enterprise project experience with Accounts Payable and Procure-to-Pay verticals a significant plus
- Great presentation and communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Recent experience in managing software-as-a-service projects a plus, particularly when migrating from on-premise solutions
- Proven track record of experience and customer success in IT project rollouts
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Experience with MS Project or similar project management tools
- Resource Planning utilizing Enterprise tools such as CA Clarity, Mavenlink, Project Online is a plus
- PMP Certification or similar certification preferred
- Travel expectations: up to 10-25%
- Candidate must be self-starter from project start to project closure in a working-remotely environment
