Senior Program Manager
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a Senior Program Manager to drive Dropship assortment in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem solving, thinking critically about the customer’s needs and the customer experience. This entails not only being a member of the Dropship Program team, but also working alongside Engineering, Supply Chain, Site Merchandising, Product, Category Management, et al. This is not the typical program management role as this role is starting from ground level to build reporting, process and a roadmap coalescing our views related to Dropship assortment. This will entail being able to get into the weeds in the immediacy while also thinking two to three years out.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee a team of six to eight responsible for new vendor identification, negotiation, and onboarding.
- Develop roadmaps for onboarding enhancements, vendor selection enhancements and rationalization.
- Partner with vendors in enhancing the Chewy customer experience for Drop Ship items including, but not limited to, product merchandising and photography, assortment expansion, etc.
- Create feedback mechanisms to measure the success of current methodologies and implement plans to improve based on outputs.
- Partner with internal teams such as Merchandising Support Systems and other technologies to improve efficiency and implement new tools.
- Communicate progress against goals and proactively identify risks.
- Project manage initiatives across merchandising, product, and supply chain.
- Support multiple parallel workstreams managing projects from kick off through roll out.
- Empathize with the Chewy customer, understanding their expectations when shopping our assortment and identify ways to enhance that journey via the Dropship program.
What You’ll Need:
- 7+ years of experience, with a track record of delivering large scale projects and leading teams through complex problems.
- 7+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
- 5+ years of experience in vendor facing roles.
- 5+ years of managing teams.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details to get the job done.
- Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal direction.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Facilitation experience at all levels of the organization; must be comfortable addressing both large and small audiences.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially focused on conveying complex information in an approachable manner to large or small audiences.
- Ability to think and perform strategically and tactically
- Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, Data Manipulation, Formulas etc.)
- Previous experience with SQL and Tableau
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- E-commerce background is a plus
- Position may require travel
