The Federal Reserve is developing a new interbank 24x7x365 real-time gross settlement (RTGS) service with integrated clearing functionality, called the FedNow service. This service will help enable financial institutions provide their customers with the ability to send and receive payments any time, any day, and have full access to those funds within seconds. This position is a unique opportunity to be part of a new mission-critical Federal Reserve initiative that will be transformative to the payments landscape in the United States.

Position Contributions-
- Facilitates the delivery processes and meetings for Scrum teams, including iteration planning and retrospectives, daily standups, and Iteration reviews.
- Bring Scrum/Agile to life for your team and guide them on how to use best practices and values.
- Coach the broader delivery organization on Agile best practices and techniques.
- Support and assist the Product Owner to refine and maintain the program backlog.
- Collaborates with other Scrum Masters and Engineering Managers to improve Agile mindset.
- Contribute to estimating, planning and forecasting program increments.
- Provides input into strategic and tactical planning of software solutions and software development lifecycle changes.
- Demonstrates skill dexterity; seeking to continuously adapt and employ new technical skills alongside proven staples.
- Helps the Scrum team and organization ensure the quality of software developed, maintained and enhanced in-house and installed into Production is of the highest quality.
- Guides scrum team to ensure compliance with Fed policies, procedures and standards.
- Acts as an Agile coach to Scrum Teams and throughout the entire organization
- Fosters an Agile mindset.
Expertise you will bring-
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent background or experience.
- Scrum Master Certification (e.g. CSM, PSM).
- Experience with Agile software engineering (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe etc)
- Ideally you've had experience introducing Agile delivery methods to a product or organization.
- 5+ years software engineering experience in a team-based environment
- Ideally, experience with building and deploying solutions in Cloud
- Experience with CI/CD build tools, and DevOps processes
- A real desire to make a difference with a new national platform.
Logistics& Requirements-
- You'll have demonstrated expertise in Scrum, and ideally other Agile techniques (e.g. Lean, Kanban), including experience in scaling these across large teams and product builds.
- You'll be a strong communicator, negotiator and collaborator.
- Demonstrates independent thinking and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Proficient knowledge of cloud security for application development and delivery
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming
Nice to Have-
- Experience with API Development and consumption and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of technology project and secure coding standards
- Strong customer orientation
- Experience in SAFe Agile and working in collaboration with Release Train Engineers to plan and deliver SAFe based program increments
