Scrum Master, Delivery Lead
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for a Scrum Master, Delivery Lead to join our IT Operations - Cloud Business Office (CBO)Team based in Boston, MA.
What you'll do:
- Ensuring that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Product Team as well as possible;
- Finding techniques for effective Product Backlog management;
- Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value;
- Facilitating Scrum events
- Coaching the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality;
- Assisting in removing impediments to the Development Team’s progress;
- Facilitating Scrum events
- Working with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization
- Align with the Business to drive the following Outcomes, Activities and Deliverables:
- Fully staffed Scrum Master function across Cloud Business Office and Cloud Platform Engineering product teams
- Regular cadence of meetings with transparent, predictable daily and weekly reporting
- Cloud Product Team (CPT) delivery structure & agile ceremonies in-place, with enterprise level reporting against progress, risks, and issues/blockers
- Delivery roadmap vetted by customers and leadership to ensure correct prioritization and timeline of CPT workplan
- Complete integration into enterprise demand management processes

- Establish Cloud Product Team charter: tenets, roles & responsibilities, ceremonies, and working norms
- Establish Cloud Product Team change control / demand management process
- Establish & Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, retrospectives, etc.
- Establish communication & status reporting structure
- Partner with portfolio management teams to integrate cloud assessment capabilities into standard demand management & governance processes
- Partner with customers, product owners, and scrum masters to prioritize cloud operating model backlog
- Partner with project managers to integrate cloud assessment capabilities into standard demand management & governance processes

What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business computer science or engineering related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5-8 years IT project management
- Minimum 4 years working in Agile/Scrum Environment
- Willingness to research and self-study to keep technical skills relevant in a highly complex environment
- Innovative and ability to think outside the box for creative problem solving
- Mentors and coaches colleagues and seeks opportunities for continuous improvement
- Comfortable working in cross functional and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detail and accuracy
- Position may require some travel
