As a member of the Delivery Management team, you will be heavily involved in new and existing feature development, and will have a material impact on what DraftKings is today and becomes tomorrow. We operate in a rapid deployment, agile development, and microservices architecture environment. We roll out products very quickly and are looking for a candidate that is flexible but methodical.

While helping to lead the delivery of releases, you will serve as a liaison between the Engineering, Information Technology, Product, and other internal groups to release quality features on-time, and maintain the health of the existing DraftKings products and platforms. The successful candidate will also leverage their skills and experience to coordinate cross-functional projects and be the “glue” that connects various teams and leads to successful delivery of larger features.

• Lead change management efforts to improve the release process
• Prepare release notes to be reviewed and approved by internal and external groups
• Prepare and prioritize roadmaps of improvements to the release process
• Provide transparency on results and planning through data driven metrics and accurate bi-weekly reporting
• Act as an advocate for the individual releases and general health of the deployment environment
• Work cross-functionally with other Product Owners and groups to identify dependencies, plan initiatives, and deliver on larger Engineering goals
• Forward plan the release windows and cycles across our different portfolios
• Negotiate, plan, and manage all release activities with a detailed knowledge of tickets
• Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
• Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered on time and within budget
• Develop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms
• Set and monitor own individual Objectives & Key Results that align with team, domain, and vertical
• May directly manage two to three team members (release engineers)
• Think creatively and analytically to unblock team members and initiative deliverables
• Balance resources, time, and scope to deliver on very high-quality standards
• Utilize our internal tools for the streamlining of the System Development Life Cycle

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of relevant experience in software development required
• Experience working in an Agile environment required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, with an emphasis on attention to detail
• Portfolio illustrating delivered processes and examples of the tools and methodologies used required
• Experience in software development, project management, and process management roles
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, social science, or engineering is a plus
• Experience in process design and user scenarios is a plus
• Experience in analytics is a plus
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), and PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is a plus
