Director - Project Management (COE)

What success looks like.
- Following standard project management methodology, using Kanban (Agile methodology), meeting all key milestones and deliverables and furthering the maturity of agile processes throughout the organization
- Deliver on cyber-security initiatives resulting in a reduction of cyber-risk across all of MassMutual.
- Recognition as a trusted advisor / leader with customers and stakeholders at all levels of the organization across business and IT
What your days and weeks will include.
- Responsible for PM Center of Expertise to support delivery of approximately 20+ Enterprise Cyber Security programs
- Accountable for managing and monitoring project tasks and controls during project planning and delivery activities to ensure on-time and quality goals are met within scope and budget.
- Develop documentation for project proposals, project charts, timeline tracking, and KPIs
- Schedule and lead project team meetings to maintain adherence to timelines and requirements
- Communicate results to key stakeholders through project management status reporting and operational reporting. Leverage PPM to track project financials, overall health, accomplishments, issues, and risks Facilitate key meetings such as sprint/release planning, retrospectives, release go/no go, etc.
- Work with individual vendor partners and internal stakeholders to ensure timelines are realistic and requirements are understood
- Identify key risks and issues, and develop mitigation plans to resolve issues under aggressive timelines
The skills that make you a great fit.
- Bachelor's degree and/or 8 years of combined experience in Portfolio Management & Financial Management and in delivering complex technical projects
- 5 years experience working in Agile team environments
- Proven delivery of Waterfall and Agile projects/programs, including Scrum and/or Kanban
- Clear track record of leading/driving key initiatives working with cross functional teams to successfully implement critical business projects, problem solutions and continuous improvement efforts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task and work as part of a collaborative team
- Experience and confidence with communicating with and presenting to senior leadership
- Preferred:
- PMP certification and/or Scrum Master Certification
- Experience with the JIRA tool
- Strong communication and advocacy skills, verbal and written, with the ability to express complex and technical issues in clear and concise terms.
- Team Player / Relationship Building: Collaborative with strong interpersonal skills; able to relate to and build strong relationships with diverse internal and external audiences/constituencies; leverages the ability to deliver effectively.
