An Insider's view of DraftKings

What's something quirky about your company?

All of our conference rooms have sports-themed names. They vary between teams, leagues, venues, and athletes. My favorite one is Mia Hamm because she was my idol growing up! Also, the room gets a lot of great light!

Dana

Business Development Account Manager

What kinds of technical challenges do you and your team face?

DraftKings Sportsbook works closely with a number of 3rd party clients. While working with these clients is certainly valuable, 3rd party integrations introduce complexities that can be challenging to navigate. Fortunately, we have an amazing team of engineers who constantly deliver creative solutions to ensure we aren't limited by external forces.

Haley

Producer

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I started DraftKings as one of three product analysts (now at over ten!). I was then promoted to senior analyst before using my analytical understanding of the business to move to the Product Management team where I lead a couple of development teams.

Nate

Senior Product Analyst

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

First, it’s critical to get to know employees personally to build a relationship. Then I like to roll up my sleeves and partner with teammates to accomplish initiatives. I like to encourage discussion, debate, transparency, and communication.

Graham

Chief People Officer

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

DraftKings does a great job at making us feel balanced. We offer fun perks like yoga, manicures, and men’s haircuts, so it’s convenient to take advantage of these services without leaving the office.
