Delivery Leader – Strategic Initiatives
MassMutual is embarking on a transformation strategy which will see material changes to our technology and operations. This strategy will be driven through the execution of portfolio of key Initiatives which will aim to make MassMutual more efficient, agile, and support the business priorities of the enterprise. This role works directly with senior technology and business leaders and teams in the development and execution of strategic projects, while also providing deep internal consulting during initiative discovery, design, and execution.
This role will be a direct report of the Head of Strategic Initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise for a wide range of strategic initiatives driven by technology
- Lead business process engineering activities in support of business/technology optimization, automation, and streamlined operations
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for process improvement initiatives
- Serve as an internal consultant during the design and execution of such initiatives
- Develop IT capability metrics and for the quarterly review with IT Leadership team
- Drive discovery of new strategic opportunities to be considered for the portfolio of Strategic Initiatives
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify service improvements and innovation opportunities, resulting in actionable service roadmaps
- Continually optimize the operating model for Core Technology groups to increase efficiency and consistency in service Delivery
- Lead significant cost saving initiatives across the organization

- Ability to develop strategic initiatives and oversee the development of long-term plans and proposals to support business objectives

- Strong business and financial acumen aligned with key financial drives and growth and revenue goals
- Full Knowledge of project, risk, and operational management
- Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and reasoning skills
- Ability to work across diverse organizations and lead complex internal and external project teams
- Ability to optimize existing business processes
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required; Advanced degree is highly preferred
- 7+ Years of experience, with 3 years of IT leadership, business, or other functional leadership experience
- Experience leading teams (matrixed and direct)
- Experience should include high impact, high business risk accountabilities
- Experience with Insurance or Financial Services industries preferred
- Proven track record to accurately execute large programs
