Compliance Project & Readiness Consultant
The Team
Shared Services' mission is to help enable Compliance & Ethics to do more with less. Our goal is to effectively & efficiently deliver specialized functions to enable the advancement of the C&E division. This includes Data Analytics & Operations, Systems Support, Continuous Improvement, Administration, Operations, and Strategic Consultation.
The Impact:
The Project & Readiness consultant will develop and oversee holistic long and short-term project and readiness plans for Compliance & Ethics to help ensure projects are being completed on time and the organizational needs are being met.
Key responsibilities for this critical role include and are not limited to
Project Planning
- Primary point of accountability to C&E leaders and associates for planning, management, implementation and reporting of multiple projects or programs.
- Oversee project initiation including budgeting, resource planning, setting targets for milestones and adherence to deadlines, coordinating dependencies across teams, and working with initiative owners to ensure project needs are being met.
- Drive project team to effective decision making when needed, depicting multiple options for how to progress with the project
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies beyond own scope of responsibility
- Promote use of MassMutual project delivery methodologies, standards and tools.
- Serves as subject matter expert and coach for Project Management.
Readiness Planning
- Lead and manage the development and delivery of change management / readiness strategies, activity plans, procedures, communications, business workflows, and end-user training.
- Perform impact analysis, craft readiness, and change management approach.
- Promote use of MassMutual change management methodologies, standards and tools.
- Serves as subject matter expert and coach for Change Management.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
- Minimum 8+ years of collective experience in change management, readiness, and/or project management
- Experience and broad knowledge of project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
- Experience and broad knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices
- Excellent interpersonal communication, conflict management, coordination, and planning skills with cross-functional teams
- Deep knowledge and experience with O365 tools
The Ideal Qualifications
- Certification in the Prosci® model (or another equivalent Change Management certification)
- Ability to quickly learn new tools and business processes
- Experience with reporting and analytical tools
- Compliance or Insurance experience
- Strong leadership skills and influencer
- Outcome oriented with the ability to drill down from the big picture to process details
